I'll not bore you with the details but the original compromise was an iceberg cup, but that was before I test drove...
I don't want a comfy bmw if I did I would have bought one, I wanted something a little more civilised for me and my missus day to day than the Williams was.
If I had it my way I'd have an Elise sat on the drive, I do see the point in cups what I don't see is the pointless bickering on forums...
So forgive me but if I stick some 38 offset wheels on a 172 and take out the back seats and the spare etc then I've got a cup?
The trump cars should lie with a 172 then if it can be a comfy cruiser and a cup within 20 mins off unbolting?

Do cups on rollers seem to make more power simply due to the engine not having run the aircon kit?
alot of mk1 172 conversions seem to make cup style engine figures which would suggest the same?
All cup owners do is go on about weight, fastest 0-60 specs and this 'rawness' word. 99.9% of cup owners I doubt have the downstairs gentleman to make any of that count on a real road in the real world.
