Yeah, feels a bit notchy anyway tbh so could probably be doing with an oil change!
I've no idea why mine is on really. I take it off half the time I'm in the engine bay for a bit more room at things. Guess it's easier than having another bit lying about the garage.
Induction kit is pretty...
Cheers! Will see how they stand up on track next year. Won't be making any days this year now.
I'm pretty certain the leak is from the driveshaft. It's wet around there and down onto the edge of the subframe where the lower arms connect to it. Hasn't leaked onto my drive though, which either...
So since I last updated this I've managed to fit a set of sportlines in order to get rid of that dodgy as f**k spring above! They didn't last long though, as I got a bit of a bargain on these!
Spax RSX, full coilover setups all round. Cracked on today and got them fitted. Ended up nice and...
Can I be a pain and ask everyone who hasn't already done so to use the RSVP feature at the top of the thread? It's not visible on tapatalk unfortunately in case some of you are using that and wondering what I'm on about!
Just makes things easier from an organisational point of view. Cheers guys.
Welcome mate :) that'd be my job lol! There's a meet over in Edinburgh at Krispy Kreme this Thursday night if you can make it. If not it's a monthly thing, and the next one will be over Glasgow way.
Welcome along! Think there's a fair few members around your way. I spent a couple of months working down Southampton/Portsmouth in the summer and seen loads of sports!
Good point mate! Halfords end of the retail park will probably be best if there's a lot of us. I'll update the OP with details of where to go before Thursday anyway.
My link pipe came today so fitted it tonight and went out a run. Sounds good, but I'm undecided on things power wise. Although I had cold air feed ducts running straight to the ph1 airbox which is already pretty efficient. I'll reroute these at some point to direct air properly to the filter and...
What do you mean whether it's right for me? I've tried a DA before (my mates DAS6) but just fancy getting my own to learn more and do it as a hobby really. I think I'd prefer to buy a whole kit as I have nothing (pads, polishes etc) as far as machine polishing goes but it depends how cheap...
Been looking at this
http://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/index.php/sale-items/the-da-21mm-dual-action-polishing-machine-microfibre-pads.html
Reckon it's worth the price? Seen the polishes in action and from what I've seen of them they're decent but I have no idea about the machine!
Lol, benefits of being a student! Good stuff mate, hopefully get a decent turnout at this first one.
Event thread is here: http://www.cliosport.net/threads/nov-20-2014-scotland-south-monthly-meet-edinburgh.762498/
This will be the new monthly meet for the South East/West of Scotland areas. It'll take place the 3rd Thursday of every month. We will be alternating between the East and West each month, or possibly moving around various different locations in the Central belt.
Myself and/or Djw John will...
Going purely off the vote above, we will be holding the first of these monthly meets next Thursday (20th November). I'll post up an event thread and if everyone could RSVP that would be ideal!
For this month, it'll be in the East as 90% of the votes for the Thursday are from guys over that...
John and myself are working on something like this at the moment [emoji6]
We were aiming at getting the first one up and running next week. Will see how that goes though.
I might be a little lol.
I don't mind going and having a look around the car. It's a well documented example so shouldn't be much to look out for in theory. There's buyers guides online I've found too, but if someone else was able to go who had a bit more knowledge about these cars than I do I...
Bo'ness is only about 10 minutes down the road from me mate. Don't mind going and taking a look for you, but I'll be working all week so would struggle to be able to go see it in daylight
Nah they wouldn't fit each other. With the dci/cup/non sport/whatever bottle the pump slots down into the bottle, whereas with the larger dual pump bottle the pump sort of pushes into it from the back. It'll make sense if you see them both, but they won't fit each other. You should be fine if...
Bolt are about £20, not sure about shims, depends how much camber you want. In work just now so can't really look anything up for links.
I'd probably advise against going too much with camber. You'll eat through tyres easily, but that's just my opinion
Yeah as above, the pumps are different. Should've mentioned that.
The one from the smaller bottle looks like this
The dual ones from the larger bottle have a 90 degree angled bit at the bottom where it goes into the bottle, instead of the bit going straight down on the above photo.
You'll find loads of wheels on eBay or from people breaking cars on here or whatever. Depends what you're after really. Can pick up standard Clio alloys pretty cheap.
As for camber, you get bolts for the front that do it, or need to fit shims on the rear.
Nando's is ALWAYS a good shout 😂
I did think about Braehead for the Glasgow-ish location and there's a nando's there. Depends on member locations though, Braehead is a decent distance west.
