FAO Central and South Scottish Members - New Monthly meet poll

Not a problem at all mate, we're welcome to suggestions :) The plan was to hopefully get a decent location in the east and west that we could alternate between, meaning everyone has a chance to get to a local meet if they wish, and at a push they'll maybe be travelling 10-15 miles to their...

    positive camber correction

Do you definitely mean positive camber? Lowering a car naturally adds negative camber so in my opinion a noticeable amount of positive camber would indicate a problem.

    Whats this wire for?

It looks to me like the vent thing for the battery. They're used on some lead acid batteries. Just clip it back up against the plastic of the arch liner at the bottom there or something.

    Trip computer fuel range

I've managed about 60 miles in my dci with the fuel light on. Even when I filled up I still had around 3 litres left and I was getting 60mpg calculated, so had another 40 miles or so in it lol!

    cruise control buttons

Yeah you're right about the resistances. They all connect into the same plug but just give different values when pressed. I did have a note of the resistance readings somewhere although I can't guarantee I'll be able to find them lol.

    Really quick question

What are you trying to diagnose?

    Dash cams

Loads of info in here mate http://www.cliosport.net/index.php?threads/In-car-accident-cameras.706196/ General consensus is that the mobius or G1WH are both pretty good (have a search in that thread for them)

New 182 owner in Aberdeen :)

Hi mate welcome along  car sounds great. Some nice extras on there! Keep an eye on the Scottish section. There will be a lot of info coming up on track based meets at Knockhill as well as more social meets if that's your thing.

The Fatty's KTEC alternative induction setup that works just as well!

Yeah I wouldn't be expecting more than a few hp, but it was more to make sure I wouldn't be losing any or making the power delivery uneven, like what's shown in that air filter test that's been documented on here somewhere. I do like a good induction noise though lol, so looks like i'll be...

The Fatty's KTEC alternative induction setup that works just as well!

Anyone know if this is worth it for a ph1? I know the ph1 airboxes are pretty efficient as it is, but this does look pretty good!

    Silver ph1 172 Glasgow

Yeah that'd probably have been me heading to work if it was in the morning.
  13. sburrell93

    Silver ph1 172 Glasgow

Yeah that's true mate! I love the look of the ph1's. The front end looks so purposeful! Back to the dci next week though fortunately. Used half a tank of fuel in two days taking the 172 to work lol!

    2015 Plans for Scottish Members

I'm hoping if that is the case @gally, then having 4 reps now will change things. The meets should end up being a lot closer to home for most people now. Mid week stuff is a good idea. Would a monthly meet be something that interests you guys? Even something simple like going for a coffee or...

    Aberdeenshire/Grampian owners!

I believe there's @npt @Craig211 and @mattstrath up your way! @Gaz85 is also up there from time to time I believe. I'm just going from what was in the list Liam got going a while back though. Hopefully there's more than just that!

    2015 Plans for Scottish Members

We'll take this on board mate, but there's already a lot of trackdays up knockhill that members on here attend. Or are you meaning club organised private track days, similar to what is organised by TrackScotland and the likes? For the knockhill organised ones, it's maybe just a case of...

Clio MK2 HID Kit Install,Metal Clips on Headlight Bulb Unit

Surely if you've got projectors on a mk2 clio (going by your car in your profile) it'd be the 1*2 xenons so already have HID bulbs in it? Or is it a set of aftermarket lights? Anyway, what type of bulb is it? I'm not much help but someone might be able to if they know the bulb type and have...

    Area Rep reveal

Well done everyone. Surprised you're back at it @Djw John ? Hopefully get some good meets going again for Scotland now.

    Silver ph1 172 Glasgow

Hi! That'd probably be me at work :) cheers, it's not a bad example but it's got it's fair share of marks and dents lol. Will be getting turned into a track project though anyway. Only had it with me this week as I need to sort the daily!

    Scotland Newbie

Welcome along mate :) got an absolute bargain with that one, I almost bought it for parts lol! Good to see it's going to get some good use though. Look forward to seeing the project thread!

    Headlight washer disconnect

Probably worth disconnecting the plug from the pump as well just to stop it working completely

    Raise suspension on 172.

Any of the 1.5dci's. The diesels were all on par with the rest of the non sports for ride height. So just look up any non sport Clio to get an idea. You'll probably ruin the handling though because they're a lot softer than the 182 springs. I'd personally look into getting custom springs made up.

Best place for geo in the SW

Was going to suggest progrip last night when I seen this but thought it was a bit far lol! I was in there a couple weeks ago with a clicking from the steering. Guy had a listen and said straight away it was a loose bolt so got it up on the ramps, retorqued a few bolts and the noise was gone. He...

How do you co-ordinate multi-car insurance

It's exactly as knuckles says. I've just had to do it with my cars. Whatever car you insure first will dictate the renewal date for the following year. So if you insured a car on the 1st of November, and then a second car as of the 1st of December, the second car would be insured 11 months pro...

    sburrell's ph1 172 track project (maybe)

Little bit of progress. Bought a Whiteline rear arb off @Fraser.J. so popped over to his unit and managed to get him to fit it for me today. Quite impressed with the handling now. Can definitely feel a difference and currently got it on the softer of the two settings. Might try changing it at...

[Oct 18, 2014] Kirkcaldy Paul Walker meet (Kirkcaldy promenade)

https://www.facebook.com/events/886348311394412/ There's an event on facebook for it. By the looks of things you need to be a 'show car' to get into the show area. Might be worth messaging the organisers though and seeing what the deal is. I'll probably turn up for a look since it seems a bit...
