Certainly is. Nowhere set for food, plan was just meet and a chat but we can see what people fancy. I'll be coming straight from work so will be needing some food regardless!
Awesome pictures. Ashamed that I have these roads so close to me but have never been and explored them lol!
Anyone know of any decent roads up Invergordon way? Going up there for a week in a few months time and will be taking the 172 for a nice long drive if there's some half decent roads.
Wouldn't speak too soon. I found a little bit on the rear nearside wheel arch. Nothing serious though, it's a very clean car. Are they known for rusting?
Cheers Adam!
Truth be told I wouldn't have been polishing it if I didn't have my eye on it in a couple of years lol! Once I can afford to...
I could be doing with trying something like Reload on the dci actually, a little sample to try would be very helpful mate yeah!
Just with you mentioning it there, how did you rate the Fusso wax when you tried it btw? A mate of mine used it after polishing one of the most colossal bird s**t...
Part 2! The actual hard work, polishing!
Continuing on from last week, I finished off the work yesterday. Started off again giving the car a covering of snow foam. User a much more diluted mix of Magifoam this time and to my supruise it seemed to cling a lot better when it was thinner! Washed...
Sounds like C2 might have been a better shout now. Was a sealed 50ml sample bottle though and I didn't have a spray head on me for it which is why I just grabbed the TC. One thing though, how do you know when a sealant has cured properly? I always though it would haze a little but I never really...
As above, a wet vac will be best, but failing that something like a relatively strong mix of AF Verso will be better than Total at removing dirt from seat belts.
Cheers guys! I was going to try it alongside some c2v3 I had but I ran short on time and just fired straight on with the tough coat as it was quick and easy to apply. I can imagine the c2v3 would be miles ahead of it though.
Cheers mate! Just reminded me I need to update this.
Finished it off yesterday so will get a final write up done later on tonight. Finished pics are a bit disappointing IMO as I was running out of light, but I'll do my best with a write up!
How do you apply Lime Prime via DA? I used it yesterday but I'm not convinced I applied it right. Went about speed 4 and moved kinda quickly over the panels, similar to how you would apply a glaze.
Also, does Tough Coat sit well on top of Lime Prime? Again, I used these yesterday (Menz polish >...
Aye, I've been slacking a little lol with being busy at work and having a s**t ton of uni work to do as well! I'll have a nosey and tag some of the more local guys if I remember later.
Good find! That's the exact style of half cage I've been looking for but a lot cheaper than I've been seeing them lol! Got a link by any chance @GrahamS
That's the worst perk ever lol, it's the tiniest little camera symbol next to cars! I guess it helps if you're looking for it...
I used the point and shoot technique for a while too. Another good way to get a few cars at once would be taking a photo right at the start of a race when everyone's...
The uploading thing doesn't matter for the challenge, there's a list somewhere in the menus of what cars you've photographed though. I can't remember where without being on the game but its definitely there somewhere.
The running costs are just too good to get rid of! Every time I want to I realise how much extra I'd be paying just for a little extra comfort in another car haha.
238k?! That's good going! Out of curiosity, is it still on the original fuel pump and injectors?
Should check and see if your car...
Yeah, I've found this on Spax website http://www.spaxdirect.com/index.php?cPath=1&osCsid=4ca94318a0bdf1172f7b53fe2c23f005
I'm assuming from that it's 2.25" for the RSX kits, and 1.9" for all the rest
That's the size of the c spanners I've got mate. Equates to almost bang on 3". No matter what way I measure it I can't get it to either 1.9" or 2.25" lol. Had a bit of a look online though and it seems like the two sizes you found relate to the inside diameter of the lock rings!
As said above, you've absolutely no worries with the belts if SWR have done them.
Can't think of much that hasn't been mentioned already. These cars can run quite lumpy from cold but its usually nothing to worry about unless its really bad.
Laurieston is about 5 minutes from me as well if I...
2.25" sounds about right just going off looking at a ruler. I've got c spanners for my spax coilies at home though so can check properly when I get in from work tonight.
Ahh I read your post wrong. I thought you meant I'd need to start them low 30's and let the pressures go up as I got heat into them. So ideally I want to keep them around 30 when hot? I'll need to get myself a digital pressure gauge actually.
Also, a couple of the guys on here up my way who do...
Perfect cheers! I'm assuming from that, the tyres need to be run at a higher pressure than usual to stop the outsides wearing down too quick?
Hopefully won't pushing them too much anyway since it'll be my first track day. More interested in getting my lines right and just learning how to handle...
