Ahh, I can't do that in work :(
I hope it fixes the restarting issues I've been having. It's restarted on me a few times now with Spotify running. Done it twice on my way to work this morning!
Managed to grab a couple of better 50/50 photos this morning when leaving for work. Looks like my assumption of there not being many swirls on the car was a bit of an underestimation!
Still some deeper marks left there but its not bad for a quick pass with a fairly light cutting...
Cheers mate!
From what I've heard it's very easy to apply, and I've only heard good things about how well it holds up. Will definitely try some of it next week, but probably not be doing the whole car with it as it's only a sample I've got!
Firstly bear with me here. Due to a frosty morning and short days, I only got halfway through and just started to get polishing, but will be finishing this next weekend (weather permitting) and get this thread updated. Also, all photos have been taken from my phone unfortunately as I never...
It's the appeal of having new things lol. Your conversation with Gally in here the other night prompted me to go get some Lime Prime to use with the Black Hole I've got.
Website called iShine Car Care were doing 2 for 1 on a load of Autobrite stuff last week, so managed to bag a litre of...
That's the problem LOL! Most of the small samples came from waxybox's, and I've hardly touched them! The pads, tape and Autobrite stuff is all new as of this week (Bogof deals were too hard to pass up!) but the Autofinesse stuff has been fairly well used, and the Dlux. I don't even want to count...
Decided to take a note of all the cleaning/detailing gear I have (wild Saturday night y0). Sigh...I wish I could go back to the days when I thought a sponge and some turtlewax shampoo cleaned a car properly...
A quick fettle with the tuning setup on the car and I dropped my times by 10 seconds within a lap or two. I'm betting he's changed the setup...cheater!
Cheers! You'll be please to know I'm keeping it for now then. Well, either that or you'll go all moderator-y on me and be angry that I still have a for sale thread up for a car I'm not selling
If I had been selling it would have been to buy another diesel LOL! I've got the ph1 for all my...
Yeah mine has always been dodgy so I've just always had it disconnected lol. Although it's only ever caused me a bit of hesitation at around 2k rpm before, never full on loss of power like it did this time! Only noticed how bad it was when I unplugged it again and the car was so much more...
Hoping someone can help explain this one. Turned into my work car park this morning and noticed my exhaust had got considerably louder. It had also stopped making the slightly ridiculous pigeon sounding blow off noises that diesels make when you lift off from heavy throttle.
Knew it couldn't...
Lol, as off-topic as this thread has gone, there have been some decent suggestions early on. Anything you put on will be an improvement to what you currently have if they're mismatched ditchfinders though.
Do you use anything else alongside these or can they cover most jobs? Not looking to go mad with polishes, just get a good base to start with that's going to allow me to correct and polish up most things.
No one is saying to get the cheapest tyres going because it's not a performance car. I personally don't see the point in putting a high grip, high wear-rate tyre on a car when you can compromise a tiny tiny amount of grip and get so many more miles out of something like a mid-range Kumho.
Put a...
LOL, this got out of hand. I don't see where anyone advocated the use of so called 'cheap' tyres in here. How many of you have actually tried the tyres that you're all slating?
Anyway, IBTL etc etc.
I want some Menzerna polishes, but there's so many different ones now I don't know what combo to go for!
So far I've just bought myself orange (medium compounding), white (polishing), and black (finishing) hex pads, but just need polish to go with them now. I was thinking PF2400 (old naming for...
Flol at this thread and suggesting performance spec tyres. There's nothing wrong with mid range tyres like @Jack! suggested above. Grip is generally gained from having a softer tyre compound, so why put on the grippiest tyre available when it's just going to wear out quicker.
I have Kumho...
The abs sensors are relatively cheap on the dci's (and non sports in general) as they don't have ESP. From memory they're around £20-30 per side. I don't think a sensor is at fault though. The abs light will come on if it detects the wheels are travelling at different speeds. The fact its only...
Best way to adjust the switch is to remove it, pull the plunger bit all the way out on its ratchet type mechanism, refit it (may need to press the pedal down a bit for this since the plunger will be hitting the pedal now its been pulled out further), then once you've fitted the switch back in...
Sounds like I'll need to do a bit of investigating and see what parts are worn. Will it be easy to tell if they're knackered? Never had a proper look at the linkages on clios, I'm used to cable selector setup on my DCI lol!
