Yup. I emptied mine, flushed it, ran it with just water in it for about half an hour. Basically until the fan kicked in, then drained again and flushed what I could then put the right stuff in. Don’t know if that’s the correct method but it worked and it hasn’t blown up. 😂

We make our own but if we need an odd size we always use Fancyplates. So much easier than driving to the local motor factors with paperwork and then trying to park… f**k all that.
We sold a VW sharan to a guy yesterday that had exactly this.
Bin lorry went down the side of his 2018 Sharan and damaged 2 doors. No other damage. Our Bodyshop place would have charged £800/1000 to fix it no bother.
But because it’s insurance and they need brand new parts the doors had to...
This.
I always buy the cheapest nastiest shittest policy I can find, just to stay legal and nothing more.
They are absolute bandits and will gladly take our money but when we need them they just bend us over and go in dry. f**k ‘em.

I find unplugging and plugging in the uch numerous times (10+) usually gives a temporary fix - this will then confirm if it’s the UCH at fault.
Only if it twice admittedly but both times that ‘fixed’ it so I knew it had to be sent off for repair.
I just disconnect the negative lead and leave the car as is.
Then a few days before you want to fire it up again, stick a charger on it to make sure it’s topped up.
A good battery shouldn’t go flat flat if it’s not connected to anything.

And fitting them was a nause. I only fit big ballon tyres and they’re easy. These stupid little cotton reels were hard work. 😂
Mate I don’t think I’ll be doing any more sadly. I’ve got the RB to do next and I think I’m done with Renaults after that sadly.
Just far too expensive now to get them anywhere near a decent standard. And that’s if you can even get the parts.
(Apart from the Mk1, that’s going nowhere)
If you’ve got a few quid about you… get one of these. Absolutely amazing and you won’t need another one. Ever.

This is brilliant. But you must make sure the roof is 100% bone dry before you do it or it may end up a bit patchy.
