This is about the strongest stuff I’ve used. (Different brand but I’ve never seen stronger than 32% so it’s probably the same stuff re-branded) If it’s a windy day, don’t do it. It’s f**king ridiculous and makes your face feel like you’ve fallen in to stinging nettles after a full day of...

    Black plastic restorer

It does both. It’s less than useless on exterior plastics but for interiors it makes them look like new without the cheap looking sheen that most interior dressings give. For exterior plastics, G-Tecniq C4 is unbeatable. As long as you stick to the instructions 100% otherwise you’ll just waste...

They’re brilliant if you’re doing lots of cars. But once you’ve used them on a car once you don’t really need to use them again. Unless you live like a pig. 😂 I have a Karcher one and I do use it a lot to be fair. Door rubbers, air vents, pedal rubbers etc etc all look like new after.

Hence why I’m having a custom box made my friend. Internal dimensions and port lengths to match the box the sub came in but also fits in to the place where I need it to go.

    Subwoofer advice

A sun in the boot and a decent set of components in the front is the perfect set up for every day use. I have a vibe active sub and tbh it’s the best I’ve heard for the money. In fact it’s phenomenal. And it’s so good I’m removing it from the box and having a custome box made for my car as I...

    172 in a mk1, Superfatdan's very very long project....

More goodies! Had a custom driveshaft made. 25mm shorter than the shortest 1*2 driveshafts. This should mean I can remove the bodged one and not have it on my mind constantly when out on track. It worries me no end. Also got some more gear oil and I like to change the brake fluid at the...

My mate swears by Angel Wax resurrect on a DA with a microfibre pad. Does it for a living and said there isn’t a better all rounder. 🤷🏼‍♂️ That’s what I’m going to try once I’m done with the Menz I had off you. (Not that there’s anything wrong with what I use, but always keen to try stuff)!

    Help! Kangoo 1.9 diesel fault

The plot thickens… If I disconnect the air intake temp sensor and leave the EGR connected it runs perfect. So either of those plugs disconnected, runs perfect. Both of those plugs connected runs like poo. 🤦‍♂️

    Help! Kangoo 1.9 diesel fault

I’ve got a Kangoo 1.9 diesel, non turbo. runs like a sack of s**t. I disconnected the EGR valve and it runs perfect. I bought a new (genuine) EGR valve and fitted it. still runs like a sack of s**t. Disconnect EGR and it’s fine again. Any ideas??

    172 engine into a 1.2expression ?

No. The mounting points are the same but none of the 172 bits will bolt to a 172 frame. Plus the 172 frame is a lot stronger than a 1.2 one.

    172 engine into a 1.2expression ?

You’ll need a donor car: engine, brakes, gearbox, subframe, wiring, ECU, UCH, keys, steering column, steering rack and subframe. be cheaper to buy a 172. That said, it’s all swapping over. Nothing needs fabricating or anything like that.

    ***How much is it worth?***

I wouldn’t have a clue mate. Diesels in Bristol are the kiss of death now that the clean air zone is in effect. Can’t give the f**king things away. At a guess I’d say £5k retail, and work back from there. Sorry mate.

Chaps, a bit of help if I may. I have somehow been roped in to polishing and waxing a mates car. I’ve told him I’ve not got the kit for the wax side of things so he’s going to buy some wax for me to use. He has a budget of £60/70 and wants gloss/depth. Not arsed about water behaviour. any...

    Difficult situation.

If it’s not being used and the battery is off, why do you need to MOT it? just sorn it and worry about it once you’ve finished your course.
