You say it’s chipped in a few places, is that chipped because you Hit it with tools etc? Or is it peeling in places?
If it’s the former, I’d just do some blow Ins. If it’s peeling I’d strip it fully and do it again.
Just found this on eBay.
I have the same trailer and both my mk1 and Mk2 Clio’s fit in it perfectly.
(Mine has centre boards but they’re cheap enough to add)
towing with a passat/A4 will keep you under the B&E entitlement requirement too. 👍

Second hand box for £150 and a days work to fit.
or, get a duff box, send it off to be rebuilt properly, get a new clutch also, and fit all that. Probably looking at £800.
if the rest of the car is good, you’d be mad so get another clio. You could end up with more issues than just a gearbox.
My mate just took his car to a place called Infinity Exhausts, they fitted to small silencers in his track car as it was biblically loud. Very reasonable at £150 all in.
100% didn’t have a sunroof. And it wasn’t an option either. (It was on the mk3)!
*edit, just seen the pics and that’s an aftermarket sunroof.

No such thing as a Clio 2 Tech run I’m afraid. (I sold them brand new back then so the model range is engraved in my brain!)
got a link to the advert? I’ll hopefully be able to tell you what it actually is.
If it is The gearbox, it will probably need Fully rebuilding at some point anyway, and whilst it’s out you may as well do the clutch.
similarly, if it is the clutch causing your issue, whilst it’s all in bits, you may as well do the gearbox.
Another month passed means another two track days.
September brought us a forecast very wet day at the start so I bought a Meglioto use for the day. No footage.
Then, last week all 4 of us made it to combe in all 4 of our proper track cars and all 4 of us saw the day through without issue.
Here...
Those seats are straight out of the Blue Oyster Bumming Bar for sure!
it’s utterly horriffic and I can think of a hundred cars I’d have before it. But it’s cool as f**k.
@VenomUK - I have a BJ Minno but I have the one with a totally flat bed.
you have two options; fit some standard 15 inch wheels with skinny tyres and remove the spacers when you load/unload the car, or buy another trailer.
Here is mine;
So... completed a track day in it today.
What a disaster...
So it came on AR1 tyres and as the only reason I bought it was for a wet track day (forecast was horriffic) I went out last night and had 4 brand new Uniroyal RS5’s fitted.
Did the track day today and it was bone dry all bloody...
So, track day tomorrow - normally is be spending tonight prepping my Mk1 or the van, but it’s due to rain all day and the Mk1 is miserable to drive in the wet and the Van’s exhaust fell off on the way to work on Tuesday morning.
So in preparation I’ve removed the AR1 tyres and fitted a set of...
Sadly not mate. I’ve done 10/12 retentions this month and it’s totally hit and miss.
This one has had to be done postal, and with the back log from DVLA closing due to covid, the wait is huge.
I did one for a focus on the 22nd March and it only came back 2 weeks ago. 😂
