As said above, i think the problem was that they didnt substantiate their claim of an extra 20bhp. A lot of people have spent more and gained less.
Would be interesting if you did get they ex-demo to stick it on some rollers to find out exactly what it is making!!
I just tried putting my details through confused.com and the cheapest i got was £1800! Oh dear. No Vee for me then...
Get some pics of the beast up Ali!
Is it just a case of chopping the edges to stop it fouling the tyres on the 182, or do you need to chop the middle to take some width out of it?
Sorry for the thread hijack....Looks cool on your ibiza!
I Like it! Only thing im not sure about is the bonnet, what does the bulge look like from the drivers seat?
Other than that, love it - esp your engine cover/hillpower.
Just going for a remap Dave? Not been convinced to add any other bits at the same time?
Would be interested to know what its like after, as my 182 is also stock at the mo.....:)
See i was planning to keep the original 182 alloys stock, then get another set in a diff colour, like white with a polished lip or maybe some random colour:o
I like them, and as you say carina, if you get bored of them you can just get them done a diff colour and it will still have cost less than a new set of alloys. :)
I have cancelled insurance with the AA and Admiral.
They both calculated the cost of cover per day (total cost / 365) and refunded me back the number of whole days left on my premium.
The AA charged me £20 and Admiral charged £45.
Even better, the AA refunded their broker fee because they...
Hmm, I havent changed the fuel or the place i get it from! Dodgy batch maybe?
I thought it may have been having a fit because i havent drivin/moved it for over a week?!:S
Yer, i try parking in the corner, but as previously posted, even if i park in a deserted car park, by the time i return there will be sh*ters galore parked next to me! And that nice car trick has never worked for me either, they are just as careless.
Oh, and keying someones car....
Having come from a Lexus LS400 (£90 for new bonnet lifters sir, thank you very much) I was expecting to have a few extra ££s left in the kitty each month due to reduced running/maintenance costs. As it is, its prob costing me more at the mo.
The BS i can put up with (and occasionally enjoy)...
Well according to the ever helpful owners manual...
'Exhaust gas monitor warning light:
If it lights up continuously, contact your Renault Dealer as soon as possible.
If it flashes, reduce the engine speed until the light stops flashing. Consult your Renault Dealer as soon as possible'...
Nice one for that Jacko, i havent driven my 182 for about a week now and when i started it this morning it sounded a lot rougher then normal and the exhaust gas warning light stayed on. So, scared by the light, i bottled it, turned the car off and ran towards my computer to search CS for...
Saw you last night on the way home from work. Spotted the CS sticker in the back window. Was in the gf's black mk3 otherwise i would have given you a wave!
Car looked nice btw.:o
I was about to say that adjusting does absolutely nothing to slow/speed mine up!
Thanks Fantom - i will try turning them off then on again after adjusting!
Ive resorted to a few mins of fast idle before i drive anywhere in the morning, otherwise i get some right funny looks from the neighbours when i kangaroo up the road! lol.
Looks awesome rich!!
My first car was a white mk3 astra, colour coded handles, boot lid, no bumpstrips and super back-to-black buffed bumpers.
Loves a bit of whiteness does Owen...
Sorry to dig up an old thread......
I have done two long trips recently, great time to use the cruise i thought!
But, on the way during the trips i try to 'arm' the cruise by flicking the switch up on the dash - which usually illuminates a green light on the dials and then i use the steering...
