Some belts can look as new as the one already doing the work so unless you’ve had it changed under your ownership or have receipts to the previous owner having it done, why leave it to chance?
Its not normally the timing belt that fails its the aux belt failing and wrapping its self around the timing belt and valves kissing pistons.

I’m sorry but if you want top money, the car needs to be in absolutely top condition. I’m in no doubt it’ll sell for good money but i’d be prepping the car to a high standard for the big bucks.
Its more the getting rid of it that would lie in my mind. Personally, i’d never buy anything regardless how good a fix it was that was registered damaged, to each their own!
