Thin blue from the car needs to connect to the thin blue on the sub. Brown wire will be an earth and bolted to the body somewhere in the boot more than likely. You got an after market head unit fitted?

The thin blue wire is the remote wire. Red is constant 12v and the blue a switched 12 so that the sub only comes on when your head unit is on
