there same bhp/tonne as a 182. as owner of both 172 an FRS id def say a well driven frs will be faster than a well driven clio but that should be expected for the extra diffs an power etc

insurance is les for me than the 172!! Grp16!!

the new ST is prob quicker but is more of a LCR type car. Motorway cruiser IMO of course where the RS is a bit more un refined! All speculative having not yet driven a new ST i must add!

As guilbert said the esc cos is a lot more tunable than a FRS. Mainl;y due to the bad cooling of the centre 2 pots above 400bhp.i never intend to use the frs as a 600bhp monster. if i want 1 of thse it will be a YB engined mk2 escort!! lol BUT BACK ON TOPIC.....WHY HAVENT YOU SWAPPED IT YET!!!

i think what every non 172/182 driver is forgeting here is that the clio is by far the fastest car in the world!!! i own a 172 an yes they are quick to 60 because of there weight, over the legal limit tho an things like subarus an LCRs an FRSs pull away. once in 3rd gear the 70kg or woteva...

If any 1 wants a very low milage mk2 172 mine (above is for sale) Only 8K miles since new. kept in dry staorage sine Nov last yr!!

Its all about profit now, Brand loyalty is almost non existant anymore an the car manufacturers are to blame. They just want to sell X amount of Cars for £XX,000 they have sales targets an profit targets not customer staifaction targets. A shareholder sat in his Million pound villas doesnt...
