My Feathers are fine - I couldn't give a s**t what anyone thinks about my car - especially faceless spotty teens on a forum :).
An OLD car is one that is not NEW .
I buy NEW cars because I don't want the hassle of OLD cars.
Have fun in your OLD car and I'll have fun in my NEW...
I'm not bad or bitter - I just don't like OLD cars.
I haven't bought an OLD car for 20+ years.
HTH
Oh - and I'm sure Renault couldn't give a s**t what people who do buy OLD cars think ;)
The simple fact is that Renault sell NEW cars.
I wouldn't be seen dead in 172/182.
If you guys don't want to buy my 200 if I come to sell it - I'm sure they'll be folk who are.
Saw an 07 plate 197 on a stealers forecourt this morning for £150 less than I paid for my 200.
I didn't buy...

If you buy the recaros - after about 4 years they will have dissapeared all together :rasp:;)
ps - Coming from a STi PPP to a cup maybe too big a jump in terms of cabin comforts - you'll see what I mean when you test drive the cup.
The FF is a much more pleasant place to be if you're going to be there for a while ;)
A cup with recaros for £200 more than a FF - I wouldn't be going for the cup with it's fall apart seats ;).
Horse the cup pack on the perrys deal and you get a ff with cup for £200 more than a cup with dodgy seats.
Pretty sure the 197 has the same brakes as the 200.
If I stand on the 200's Brakes it's about the same as tossing one of these out of the window.
Definately get them checked !
They sold their soul to Internet Brands and it's been $hite ever since.
the 200 is miles more fun than the STi or WRX.
Scoobies are too heavy nowadays.
Here's a little life lesson I've learnt ;).
If you assume that everyone you have to deal with in life is a complete r****d you wont get too upset when they continually prove you right - you are just warmly satisfied that your theory is correct again .
The flip side is that when...
It's not often I do this but to cut the stealers some slack I reckon it's probably Renault who don't have a clue when their orders will be built / shipped / arrive at the stealers etc.
Apart from the surprise arrival of my car the stealer that I was dealing with was excellent :star:.
I had my first call from the garage and the guy said (surprised) "Hello Mr Jasey - your car has arrived two weeks early - when do you want to collect it ?"
Renault money = Renault Service.
Merc money = Merc Service
That's how it works apparently :S
Me "Can I get a touch up paint for a glacier white 200"
Parts r****d (Looking a list of available colours on screen) "These are all in French - do you know the code ?"
Me "No Idea mate"
Of we go to the car to find the code for Glacier white.
Get back - r****d keys in the code to the...
Dunno about essential ;)
Cup chassis would be fine provided you're on decent roads - on the b-roads of Aberdeenshire I reckon the cup chassis would break either your back or most of your teeth :).
But as pointed out earlier - I'm old enough to be most of you guy's Grandad :rasp:
I'll be honest with you.
When I ordered the car I didn't know what was what when it came to wheels - but I remember seeing various pictures and thinking that all the media shots had the "fancy wheels" that would be extra and I'd end up with those crappy black ones - turns out the Standard ones...
