Costs £10,000 for a 140bhp N/A Miglia engine so your not wrong. Costs half that for a more reliable 200bhp turbo A seires.
Can't beat the Vtec mini's when it comes to reliability and big bang for buck but webers, Roller rockers, scatter cams, EN40B cranks do it for me lol
Bloody nice car that and with a nice motor to suit.
I wouldn't think it would knock out much more than 130bhp, reliably anyway. Its pretty much a fresh MG Turbo lump over bored. Doesn't have an 11 stud cylinder head either so you'll be waving good by to head gaskets on a regular basis if you...
I had a Quaife Dog box the other year and it was very very strong and very reliable if used properly. It was the face dog type and not the involute which i think helps. I personaly found the involute type was an utter pig to use too. As for going into the wrong gear and blowing the engine...
I like the the Hellaflush/ low stance look but it my own opinion it just doesn't look right on a clio. Especialy from behind when you see skiny 145's stretched on to 7'' wide wheels.
Just my opinion
158+mph last september at 1.30 on a sunday morning between Wellingborough and Northampton on the A45..........................and yes, that has been proven..................in court, by the Copper who tried following me for 4 miles doing it. Cost me 5 grand and 2 months with out a license. It's...
Can't believe you took those first pictures where you did! I plumbed all those units in a couple of years back. Princess Risborough am I right??? Jay Kay has bought one of them units and another has an owner with a tasty Aston V8 Vantage GT2 road/racecar.
Nice car by the way. Really starting...
I haven't read the thread but its actually a very beneficial modificaton at those power figures. Fair play to the bloke though, there aren't many cars you can go out and buy with over 800bhp for what he's spent. If I wanted to go fast in a straight line though I wouldn't bother wasting money on...
I stick to what I say......old beemers are better than new beemers. I bet that would be a weapon around a track. I honestly lmao at people who say cars like that must be undrivable or drive like sh1t. Some people forget that in other parts of europe pot holes and crap roads aren't an issue.
I sure hope there's not another Nocturne vee kicking around else i'll be forced to have mine resprayed again! lol I can't imagine it being moonlight blue. They are very very very rare.
Nice car fella. It would be the one I'd look for if buying a new Mini.
Not keen on shift lights though. Have never seen the point of them. 99% of people know when to change gear just by the engine sound. Other than that, real nice mate.
To be fair to the Flush/VAG/Stance/E38 type of scene 95% of people who are in it do have good taste. After going to E38 the other week it was clear that every single car in that show ground would have been admired regardles of what trend or scene you like. They were all modified very tastefully...
Couldn't have been anyone from the RAOC though surely. I can't imagine anyone talking down to someone like that. The engine bay was a minter in my opinion. Nothing wrong with ditching the aircon either. Adds a hp or 2
To be honest I would have took their reaction as a compliment. The car is a brilliant sleeper and lets be honest, really doesn't look like an RS until you look closer. It was definatly one of my favorite cars there and I'm sure the people at the gate would have thought the same too once they...
That shouldnt be write of and shouldn't be too bad to fix. Doesnt look like the £2000 wing or £1700 rear bumper has been touched. Lucky sod if you ask me.
The 7 Port was never a fully finished and honed item but would have been well over 250-260bhp on injection. I ended up taking it apart and ended up building a 1460 turbo. Something rarely heard of. It cost me the best part of 15 grand with the gearbox as it was all one off stuff. It produced...
Just want to say thanks to the lads that so kindly let myself and another vee owner on to the CS stand. At first we were located on some random chavy club stand but were well pleased to be welcomed along. Was some really nice cars on the stand too.
Thanks guys
Been to a few shows in my life but this was my first E 38 meet......what can I say???.........epic......every single car in the show ground was brilliant. Was so nice to walk around a show and not see crap mods, piss poor standards and stupid sound systems pumping out nothing but a loud noise...
