Had the wheels refurbished last week and this morning the car was looking trashed (yes, it gets driven - hard!) so set about it. Usual 2BM, Dodo Supernatural, Bilberry, i4d big fluffy yellow drying thing - nothing special, but I thought it was looking ace!
Theory is a wonderful thing.
Although I sat the other night going spare at my Virgin box before realising the reason I was only getting 10Mb/sec was because I was using a laptop with an 802.11b card!
I'm yet to see in car footage of you doing anything remotely quick. By all accounts (even your own!) you're average on track so aren't really in a position to comment on other people's abilities.
At least when I did a trackday in my 182, Bibendum didn't come home and a couple of M3 owners...
Dash is easy to remove - don't even need a guide:
Take the silver (or painted) strips off the front of the dash, remove all Torx hidden away. Look just inside the doors, on the side of the dash is a plastic Torx-headed locating pin, take those out (one each side). Pull the top of the steering...
Maybe rather than 'being around' them, you should try driving them. My Vee is a million times more fun than my old supercharged Exige, and in terms of looks - well to sum it up EVERYONE looks. The Exige drew looks from car enthusiasts, the Vee draws looks from everybody under the sun.
And as...
Yeah, although I can imagine a lot of the heat in the IM is due to the metal contact between it and the block. PTFE gaskets anyone?!
That's probably a year or so down the line yet, mind. Will probably do matching and that at some point eventually...
Sorry, completely forgot about doing those!
Basically it's a ceramic coating that reduces the heat transfer. I'm not sure getting the inlet done will do anything (although it'll be a shade prettier as mine's filthy) but the exhaust can lose anything up to 33% (according to the spiel) of the...
Car's black - and I was tempted by white but you'd see it through the rear vents so wasn't sure if it'd look a shade shoite. Plus it'll get s**t up when Fred works on it!
For everything - starting with the backbox (and maybe collector) next week, to the rest of the system at the start of next year. This on on the Vee BTW.

My thoughts are the metallic black?
If your current board can take it, stick a Q6600/Q6700 in there. Mine still benches fine and runs Crysis et al. The GPU is the biggest bottleneck in any modern system still... £120 and good as new.
