My 51 plate was the thicker 18mm type. Knowing Renault I'd say there is probably no logic to when they changed.
I fitted a phase 1 stub axle and it was the thinner.
You've got to look at both sides of the fence IMO. There is no better or worse.
In the grand scheme of things, the Clio is a tinny, noisy, badly made French can and when it was my daily it used to break silly things constantly. That said, it is incredibly capable and with a sensible amount of...
As a straight line tool and track weapon, I can imagine a 230-260bhp Clio being very handy.
As a day to day tool, an intentionally fast car eg. M3, Evo will be a much better package but with 2-3x the initial cost.
I stripped my interior and removed the cigarette lighter.

That's where I'm at Phil. Already used RSTuner which worked a treat.
I've parred down the rear loom, trimmed down the door looms to just central locking motors. I've had to splice the airbag on/off lock from...

Can you do this for side impact sensors etc Dan?
Could this also be done if removing ABS?
I'm guessing all of them LOL!
I have a phase 2 non ESP 172.
I'm guessing the ABS removal will bring up the ABS, STOP and SERV lights?
Removing the airbag ECU will then bring up the SERV and Airbag lights?
I'm trying to keep the dash light sequence in contemplation of the new rules if they...
