    Can Vista be ditched?

Nothing significantly wrong with Vista though for the home user: DX10 support. Native Windows Search engine which is infinitely less intrusive than the XP addon. Media Centre improvements. Driver model improvements. SP tie to Server 2008. Security Enhancements. Just because it doesn't tickle...

Sorry, those aren't the standard wheels so the locking wheel nuts will be different. On a standard Mk5 Golf GTI Pirelli.

    Bleeding 4 pots...

Doesn't make any odds, just one you'll have to bleed for hours if you're doing a flush, the other will only need a bit of bleeding as the fresh fluid will already be in the line to the caliper.

    Bleeding 4 pots...

Each half seperately - it's essentially two calipers when bleeding.

    URGENT - help required

You'll want to use sector-level data recovery software, however it may be too late if Checkdisk has written stuff to it.

    exchange 2007 - windows 2003 or 2008?

dk beat me to it - there is no SP1 for 2008 per se, it was released as SP1 to bring it in line with Vista as they intended to operate as they did with 2000.

    Windows Media player dvd codec?

As has been said many times, DVD codecs weren't included in XP. They are in Vista though, for reference.

    windows Vista arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg !!!

As above, it's not XP, don't compare it to and you won't have an issue. Lesson learnt, don't buy cheap hard drives for HTPCs.

Nope, the qualifications won't be worth shite. IMO. I've got GCSEs. And half an A-Level. Experience from the age of 11 FTW!

But that would require something other than the shitty 3Cum 'stack' (1Gb fibre between all the switches, apparently that's 'stacking' in their book) to have sufficient ports to plug all our server's NICs into, let alone their iLOs. I've bucked the trend lately, not only have I just set up a...

    Bloody Exchange Server

Until you get to Exchange, yeah. But then we can't use storage blades for clustering and we'd quite like the entire lot to sit in one box. As it happens, there is a pair of clustered blades going in, attached to an MSA2024 (IIRC) because they don't want to connect it to the EVA, as they're...

    Bloody Exchange Server

Seriously, however, I'm a 'Technical Analyst'. It involves infrastructure support, and migration/implementation projects. Currently looking at putting in a few HP blades, although I'm nervous as I'm aware that they have a midplane redundancy issue (a lack of, to be precise) but at the same...
