WRC 2 Fiesta R5 testing @ Greystoke, Cumbria

I'm pleased for Gus, though I think there is going to be a bit of pressure on him to before this year. He gets a bit of stick, but I know someone that worked with him in the early days and rated him really highly. I can't help but feel a bit down about the whole M-Sport situation though. I...

I'm with you. People seem to get really excited about the phase 1, but I think the phase 2 looks miles better!

    Saw this today - R19 convertible. Don't remember the last time I saw a 19. Really wanted a 16v when I was a teen!

That's lovely. It was such a shame when they moved away from that traditional three-box look for the XJ.

Couple of spots today. One stupid, pointless and overpriced. The other is a Racing Puma.

Evo car of the year on itv4

Yeah I thought that too. More time driving and talking about each car would have been better.

Evo car of the year on itv4

I wonder if it might have been better if they'd just had a couple of them do it, perhaps Henry Catchpole and Jethro Bovingdon, as they're more experienced on camera, then just keep the others in the background. That being said, I didn't think Adam Towler was too bad. They're all in a weird...

What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

Really enjoyed those videos with Plato and Neal!

Evo car of the year on itv4

Definitely shows that a good writer isn't necessarily a good presenter. John Barker is a legend in automotive writing terms, but he really doesn't come across well on camera.

Evo car of the year on itv4

Forgot it was on. Watching the second half of it. Nice to see some nerdy car stuff on TV. Some of the journos are definitely better suited to writing though. You can see which ones have been doing video for a while, that's for sure.

I really can't get on board with the new Defender. Awful looking thing to my eyes. On the subject of Land Rovers (well their inspiration at least) I spotted this today. I would absolutely love one of these:

Thanks bud. A mate has bought a 182 and it might need an injector, so made me think of it when you mentioned Amazon. Good price that!

    My Sunny Gti-R

Always liked these. A guy I knew had one years ago, but he didn't keep it long for some reason.

What's Japanese, rally inspired, turbocharged, AWD, 1250 kgs with mechanical diffs on both axles?

How much thicker are the aftermarket roll bars out of interest? I wouldn't agree that thick bars are necessarily problematic on bumpy roads, as large ARBs are commonplace on tarmac rally cars, as they allow you to prevent excess roll, while letting the springs and dampers deal with the ride. The...

What's Japanese, rally inspired, turbocharged, AWD, 1250 kgs with mechanical diffs on both axles?

I suspect that's due to a bit of a mismatch of components in a lot of cases. Most aftermarket suspension is far too stiff for road use, not to mention often being of questionable quality. While anti-roll bars obviously influence ride quality, it's better in my view to tune ride with springs and...

    Quest:Worlds Greatest Cars

I probably should have watched this lol. I've seen it advertised, but it's just the same old faces over and over, as with all of these shows.

What's Japanese, rally inspired, turbocharged, AWD, 1250 kgs with mechanical diffs on both axles?

Lovely that. Love a classic Impreza. I wouldn't go straight for removing the bigger roll bars personally. Better to look at the springs/dampers first. A set of softer springs would probably go a long way to sorting it.

Definitely up there in journalist terms. Him and Henry Catchpole are probably my two favourites of that generation.

Is it an Azure? Think that was a special edition towards the end of the Sierra.

    Jethro's Trophy on the market

LOL at people thinking he's loaded. If you want to make money, motoring journalism definitely isn't the place to do it, trust me. He's probably doing ok with the stuff in the US, but very few people make really serious money in that game sadly.
