    Jethro's Trophy on the market

Do you know what he is doing with the 996? Really love that car, just how I'd have one.

The video that was made for WRC+ is now available for free on the Red Bull website: https://www.redbull.com/gb-en/videos/colin-mcrae-25-years-a-champion-wrc-2020-monza-extra

That's because people adore judging others. What happened was tragic, but everyone makes mistakes. His toys were just bigger than most people's. I think he has paid a pretty high price for any wrongs that he committed. His daughter should know more than anyone what it feels like to reconcile...

    K20 powered 172

Makes a lot of sense. The K20 seems to produce decent numbers with fairly simple changes. I'd keep it normally aspirated too personally. If I wanted forced induction, I'd just buy a Mégane lol

What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

Listened to this last night, was really enjoyable. Didn't realise CT had been bought by Dennis either.

That's good to know! One of the lenses on mine is broken.

That's why he faded away sadly. He was brutally fast and braver than anyone, but he couldn't match the calculated approach that others brought to the table, especially Loeb.

    25 Years Ago Today...

A lot of British rally drivers have been handy on bikes over the years. A lot of them start out doing trials etc. I remember an interview where one said it massively helped with car control, as it gave great feeling for the car moving underneath you. They're probably the most adaptable drivers...

I had to slum it and drive 🤣 It's probably pretty awesome doing it that way, as it's not that easy to get to some places.

    25 Years Ago Today...

I'm the same a bit really. My earliest rallying memories are of McRae, but in a Rothmans Legacy. I don't have much memory of the championship, but the later Subaru stuff, and the video games were a big part of my youth. I suspect he didn't set out to kill children... What happened was a...

    25 Years Ago Today...

...Colin McRae made history, becoming the first British driver to win the World Rally Championship. He remains the youngest driver ever to win the title. Worth some videos I reckon:

What exhaust doesn't make me want to uninstall life

Mine came from Euro Car Parts. Obviously not much help with you not being in the UK, but I guess you can at least check the part numbers. https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/klarius-centre-silencer-704740751 https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/klarius-rear-silencer-705740891 It seems a lot more...

    Ryan's Megane 250

I was exactly the same. In normal mode, I could barely notice any difference in sound to be honest. In sport, it just gives a slightly more aggressive tone when you accelerate, and a few more pops here and there. It doesn't drone at all from what I remember. I think it just makes them sound like...

    My RB 197

Not much has happened with this lately. Losing my job has put a stop to me having too much fun unfortunately. Decided to tick off a couple of jobs this weekend though. I bought some 200 Cup dampers from RPD a while ago, but only got round to fitting them today: Also finished sorting the...

    Ryan's Megane 250

Love it! Seeing the topics about them recently has really made me want another one. Definitely get the mid-box chop done. It gives them so much more personality, without being too much.

HID Kit has to go- new MOT Rules. Now what?

If he has damaged your car, it definitely sounds like you need to find a new tester!

What exhaust doesn't make me want to uninstall life

I did this with my 172. When I bought it, it had a ktec stealth on it, the one without a centre silencer, and it was bloody awful. I sold it and just fitted a standard system (I think it was a Klarius one) and it was so much better. I had a fatty induction kit, which gave it plenty of aggression...

    MarkCup's BMW M140i

f**king famous I am :ROFLMAO: I must say, I'm really not a fan of this whole throttle mapping thing. To me, throttle angle should be directly related to pedal position. I don't really know why someone would want the throttle to be non-linear.

HID Kit has to go- new MOT Rules. Now what?

The rules have been around for a while I think. Certainly not new this year as far as I know anyway. You probably need to take a look and see how much has been changed to fit them. It may just be a case of unplugging them and fitting normal bulbs. I bought a car with them years ago and they...

    Is Pistonheads classifieds dying?

Yeah it's definitely not good. A sign of the times though to some extent. Budgets in most media outlets have all but evaporated. Ad revenue is getting harder to raise. The website/forum/classified model is getting a bit outdated when you look at the whole influencer/social media/YouTube...

    Is Pistonheads classifieds dying?

Funny you say about the editorial quality, as I had an interview to be the editor a few years ago. I didn't get it, as they went for a "safe" choice, but it's probably worse than it's ever been. Some of the mistakes make you wonder if some of the writers even like cars!

    Is Pistonheads classifieds dying?

Was it ever alive in the first place? I've owned over 30 cars and only bought one on PH and never sold one. To me, it always seemed to attract over-priced stuff, and never had as much choice as the likes of Auto Trader or eBay. I guess it's appealing if you're looking for something really...

How closely related are the Clio and Dacia Sandero?

Yeah there does seem to be a lot of cross over of parts. Would be interesting to have a good poke about underneath one and see what's what.

How closely related are the Clio and Dacia Sandero?

It's definitely a shame. I guess they wouldn't get the 2.0-litre through the latest emissions rules, but they could create something very similar with one of the little turbo lumps.

    MarkCup's BMW M140i

People are so weird about the auto/manual thing. I know a few people (mainly women, it has to be said), who would refuse to drive an automatic car, citing that, "They don't know how", even though it's easier. My missus on the other hand, who has spent most of her life in the Middle East and...

    Ring Doorbell

I come across a lot of these in my new-found role, delivering s**t. I think in the month I've been doing it, probably coming across at least 150-200 houses with them, only about two have ever been used to speak to me remotely. Do people actually both checking them?

How closely related are the Clio and Dacia Sandero?

Yeah that's what I wondered. Seems to be the case with most Renaults of that era.
