Ok I have been trying to work on this all night... The bolt that is a fair way into the hub is sticking out by about 3/4 inch the other side of the hub. What do I need to undo to be able to access the back of the hub? Thanks Sam

You will get used to it I promise. The polo is awful to drive so it can't be any worse than that. Compared to the polo as well the clio will be lighter when the bits start to fall off ;) Sam

Stick it under the seat cover under one of the seats. Mine isn't here but it may be a suggestion. Sam
