Has anyone had this done? My engines looking a tad scruffy (not helped by a power steering pipe pisin fluid everywhere) Just wondered if anyones had there engine steam cleaned? If so did they have any problems. Im a bit scared to get it done incase it hurts any of the electrics etc...

I paid just over £3000 private but i had to spend money on it. It wasnt damaged but I wanted it to look mint so i spent a bit on paint. Ive had it since feb. Dunno what to do about the cat. Ive got it still so ill probably have to put it back on for the test in feb.

Oh my cable went a couple of thousand miles ago too. Luckily a bloke from my old work did it for me. It was a genuine clutch cable too. It is loads lighter now too.

Mine went about 63K. Maybe less. I noticed it was going because the car was revving and not moving as much as it should. Also you could smell it burning. It cost me £260 to get it done, with a genuine Renault Clutch which i was told is one of the best anyway. I am not planning on having it...

Its not totally standard, Had a few bits done. K & N, powerflow exhaust, decat pipe. power boost valve. Think thats about it. Had a new clutch in it and a few other bits that cost a fair bit, otherwise i would have done a lot more. just a bit skint though.

Since them pics Ive had half the car painted. Looks better now. Ill get some more high res pics. It is pretty tidy for a k plate. Its only done 66K though

Oh they were about £25 a set of four. You can get them from MPC (Midland performance centre) They are just four rectangular bits of rubber and you have to cut them to fit.

They arent Renault mudflaps. They are Rally mudflaps (a sort of dark blue clear rubber) Ive had to take the front ones off though as I had to take my inner arches out cos the wheels were catching really bad. They just screwed into the plastic on the inner arches and into the bumper with self...

I only got dark smoke on the back windows and light smoke on the front. Its not dark inside at all really. Ive not got the back window done though, just the back sides.

I had my back windows a dark smoke and the front light smoke. I think it looks really good. You cant really tell that they are differnt shades from the outside. It is legal too. You can see fine though all the windows although it is better in the front.

Seeing as everyones going mad for these, if there are any phase 2 rear lights going cheap let me know.

just buy a genuine renault one. only about £14. Mine seems to be ok

Join the club mate. Mines gone in for a blown power steering pipe. Where abouts you from?? I got someone fixin mine at the moment. Its not engine out. just loads of bits to take off. Think its just a lot easier to take the engine out.

Thats ok then mate. Its gone in today to have it done. Just hope its not a huge bill. It wasnt the pipe leaking it was just the union thing as i could see it. My pump should be ok as i only drove a couple of miles with it leaking out and it was fairly new anyway (9months old ish)

any idea how much it should cost?
