I was going to go for a GSF one. When I went to pick it up I didnt want it, was made from monkey metal being a engineer I can feel qualities of materials and it was def a poor copy. Renault one is def worth the extra £12/13 IMHO.
Makes a world of difference. Depends which way the bolt is facing. Mine appeared to be in the wrong way and was a b**ch to get out as it kept fowling on the exhaust. had to cut the bolt off in the end. The mount is easy to do though if you have access to a ramp, 10 minute job. Put the nut on...
What forums are there other than Matey-matey, clubgti and performancevwmag for mk2s I either want a mint Escort RS or a Late 3dr mk2 gti 16v in oak green.
Cheers.
I used to go a year or two ago. Where abouts do they hold it now?
It always used to be crawling with police in the car park and hiding in various places trying to catch people speeding/racing.
Ive got 195/50 and find them to be better than the standard 185/55.
Ive got Avon zv1s and find them very good. It all comes down to individual interpretation on which tyre beats which.
195/50s were about when the willie/16v came about. There the standard tyre on a Escort Rs Turbo.
Its squeaking all the time Andy. Your brake pads are not in contact with the disc unless pressure is applied to the pedel or the calipers are sticking.
My wheel bearing would squeak but then stop when you braked. Is that what yours does stevo20?
Mine squeaked until my wheel bearing was changed. Even a new bearing could squeak if it was torqued to the wrong settings. (which was why my NEW bearing went in 5 months)
You also tend to get a lot of flex from the wheel area mid corner. Horrible feeling as I found out 1st hand when I had my old wheels on with 10mm spacers.
I ordered tyres from them and waited almost 2 weeks for them to be delivered only to be told the Toyos were out of stock. I personally wouldnt use them again.
Driving since 18, now 25 getting on for 26. No accidents and I do drive reasonably fast. I started with a nova sr then had a xr31 now my valver for the last 3yrs. As was mentioned theres no substitute for experience.
Regardless of wether it passes the emissions test or not. I thought if the car was registered after sept 93 it had to have a cat in place to pass a M.O.T.
Just spoke to a mate at a bodyshop and he said if you cant polish/t-cut it off, take it to a bodyshop and get them to mop it. (industrial polishing) and thatll sort it.
Went out this morning to take my car to have a front wheel bearing done and the battery was flat as a pancake so had to bump it. Parked it up to say cheers to mate for pushing and my handbrake cable snapped.
GREAT!!!!!
I just phoned a family friend who is a traffic officer in the Thames Valley area. He said if this copper said this he is talking out of his arse. Tax, insurance etc etc is there top drive. He said, for one how many coppers even know what a de-cat looks like as opposed to a cat. Plus who wants to...
