Right ive decided its time to get a new car, but what do I get? Ive narrowed it down to a mk1 172 or a Golf vr6 highline. Im swaying towards the golf especially with its better build quality and the fact itll hold its price better. What do you guys think?

I just done a online quote with Admiral and got £370 with £150 excess Im 25, 8yrs ncb, fully comp with protected no claims and a clean licence.

I highly recommend Clifford alarms. Always had them and always will. Remote start voids the cat status of your immobiliser.

Spotlights are nice and expensive and rust needs sorting straight away and properly. It quickly spirals out of control and becomes a major job.

Its pointless buying a valver and insuring it TPFT. As others have said at 17 you will lack the experience required to drive this type of car and should you stack it, youll be left with nothing. Go for a RT or something equivelent. Scott

I had this happen on my valver too. Throttle cable was rubbing on something andthe rest is history. Luckily not too much damage done though.

IMHO i think painting calipers lairy colours is def too Lax Powerish. Go for black or silver. The clean look is far better.

As long as your fully comp you will automatically have windscreen cover. Normally £50 excess and doesnt affect your NCB. To be honest I wouldnt even bother with Renault. Can you be bothered with all there sh1t for the sake of £50. Scott

Its not white, its a polished alloy edge as renault intended.
