    £600 PC Base Unit...?

64 bit only has compatibility problems with drivers that aren't EM64T or AMD64 compliant. Software should be completely unaffected as unless it uses 16-bit then it can emulate 32-bit (WOW64) fine. The biggest change is the lack of support for 16-bit software which, frankly, needs throwing in a...

Connecting Router To A LAN Feed?

Use a Router - a Wireless access point will mean you run out of mac addresses (if this is how it is policed) to use. If you use a router you just register that devices mac address and everything else appears as that.

Just bought a HP Netserver LC2000r

I can confirm to you both, of the 30 1650s we've got there's only one PIII in that lot, the rest are the later 1.4Ghz Xeons. They're still both fairly pathetic, but they're good for our Citrix environment as they're all the same spec and there's lots of them. However they're all going for new...

Just bought a HP Netserver LC2000r

Nope. Even with DAT drives etc I could get a Dell 1650 with both power supplies and both 1.4Ghz Xeons and 2Gb memory for £100 (3x36Gb disks and RAID controller) and a 1750 with 2.4Ghz Hyperthreading Xeons for £200...

Just bought a HP Netserver LC2000r

You've got no hope if you're a noob. And no, two 10Gb and two 40Gb won't (or shouldn't!) be set up as raid 5. If they are, you've lost 60Gb of storage as to prepare them they'd all have to be the same size.

    Coding/Script Help

I was referring to the potential buyers... I know if I was spending money on a house, I'd install whatever Apple/Microsoft/Adobe/Realplayer that I needed to have to take a 'virtual' wander around it before spending time going there...

Another vote against Java. If they're that clued up they'll dislike it too. Also if you're spending house sort of money and you won't install free software from a mainstream software provider then you need your head looking at.

Solarwinds is also fairly helpful for this, as it'll do you a nice map of your switch stacks for you, including what's attached to each port.
