I'll get some pics of the state of our server room now, after around 200 hours of work each from three people tidying and reorganising it... It was a job and a half. Patch panel is next years job but there's downtime for that and as a 24/7 business there's no good time to do it...
I dislike Dell servers, and I work with far too many of the damned things. Our Citrix farm consists of 25 1855 Blades (the only decent Dells we have), 20 1650s, we've got another 40 1650s performing other tasks and around 10-15 1750s. We've got two EMC/Clariion SANs (one just ditched) with 2850...
You mean the realistic?
I've nothing against him, quite the contrary, just think that there are more important things in life than financing yourself to your back teeth...
You're having one car instead of 2 and only saving £150 a month (which is gone with insurance anyway?)
Sounds like living beyond means myself, I know I'd never be able to share a car with someone as my work would get in the way... Not sure on your circumstances but I'm sure there's times when...
4Gb actually, including the memory allocated to VGA and other DMA hardware. Typically this appears as anywhere between 3 and 3.75Gb on Vista due to the amount of memory typically reserved for people's graphics, but in early Windows 2000 editions you used a /3gb switch to limit the amount of...
I thought that too - you look at the shape of the wheel and there's no angle that would induce any airflow through the wheel - I know it would only be negligible but any help in airflow is better than none at all...
Not strictly true, you need a processor with 64-bit extensions. They've not yet released a native 64-bit edition of Vista like they did with XP Itanium Edition.
b****cks. Works fine on my 1-year-old laptop and has done since it's release (I upgraded straight away) and also on my £2500 desktop with server spec RAID controller. It tends to be user error that causes problem, including installing it on a machine that they have false hopes for...
As for...
Yes, but then they have to do it again to fix them.
As for Sat Nav being better on the Cup, that's a load of balls. My sat nav works just fine thanks, I even get a hole in the screen for laser jammers.
I'll let you in on a secret... My Megane has the brakes from the RS Clio, and stops just fine with no fade, thanks to braided lines and quality pads. And it's quicker.
What is your obsession with putting bigger discs on it? The Westy probably has 4-pots as it's got 15" wheels and fairly little disks (and also goes a hell of a lot quicker)
You're driving a moderately quick Clio at rediculous speeds and then tanking the brakes on. Drive properly and you...
Right,
Appears to be memory related - not overly familiar with the settings on COD4 but can you turn down draw distance (not much at all) - it doesn't appear to be SLIing properly so it's sticking all the textures in one card then not getting the rest.
Had similar on FSX on my 8800, seemed to decide not to bother with a load of textures. I'll do some more ferkling tomorrow when I get to play with it and let you know?
2nd vote for Swissvax Onyx. I haven't bought a second tub yet because my Megane is 'Mineral Blue' so would be better off with a wax suited to lighter colours, but on my Black Gold 182 it was the best you could put on shy of £100 IMO...
