    Clio 182 Z20LET 2.0T Conversion

I opened this thinking, why on earth would someone do that? In reality, it's a bit of a mad and pointless conversion, give you can use Renault bits. That being said, there is nothing wrong with being a bit mad and pointless sometimes, and you've done a great job with the install. The dials look...

Clio 197 suspension refresh - where to get bits?

Cheers. I think I'll start with the lower torque mount perhaps, then track rods and ends. I noticed it had had an advisory in the last couple of years for them, but I suspect they weren't done, so seems a good place to start.

I might let a pro do them to be honest

Clio 197 suspension refresh - where to get bits?

Thanks. Might join up over there. Will take a read through your thread. ECP used to sell a lot of Lemforder stuff but seem to stock Moog now instead. Not sure if it's any good.

Clio 197 suspension refresh - where to get bits?

So, picked up my 197 and, while it's "ok", I am going to work through the usual suspension joints and bushes in the coming months, just because I am fussy and want it perfect. On my 172, I used mostly Lemforder for track rod ends etc, with genuine Renault lower arms and the odd Powerflex bush...

I followed a California a few months ago. They are a bit bulbous and clumsy looking from the back I think. Obviously wouldn't say no though. Saw this when I picked my 197 up earlier, belonged to one of the guys who ran the place. Fully restored and lovely: While I was driving back I saw a...

    Deposit placed on new car

I believe it is, yeah. I think any MK8 can have the keys made for it.

I mean it's probably a dramatic method, but it should work I guess :ROFLMAO:

Big gay wings, do they really work on track?

I would think that almost anything off-the-shelf is going to have very little impact, other than adding some drag. The vast majority of aftermarket stuff is purely for looks and won't have been anywhere near a wind tunnel or anyone with aerodynamic knowledge. This is worth a look...

Just another M3, this time with a V8.

That will make it look a lot better. I know what you mean about the skirts, always a risk removing stuff like that. I think I would have to though. I think it would still work as you still have the diffuser. To each his own though. It's still a lovely car, regardless of what I think!

Just another M3, this time with a V8.

That's a proper car with some proper bits on it! Will be a serious tool I should think. I think you need to get rid of the red leather bits now though, looks a bit odd. Not 100% sure on the carbon rear corner splitter things myself, but each to their own. Lovely car all the same. Oh, and long...

    Clio 172 Owner - Dubai

Cool, thanks for the info. Is it a LHD, or RHD? I have a feeling that some of the Japanese imports were LHD. How many do you think there are out there? Are the new ones very popular? I'm going to be out in Dubai for a holiday for a few weeks, so will have to keep my eyes open for Renaults now...

Interesting. Where did you import it from? Was it difficult? Which R.S. models do you get over there? Sorry for all the questions, just interested, as there's a chance I might be spending a bit more time in the region in the future, so nice to know these things!

    Fibre Glass Bonnet advice

I'd try and reinforce the leading edge of the bonnet to try and prevent some of the flex. Could you bond an L-section strip into the underside?

    Clio 197/Megane 225 conversion review

Yeah getting much from the 197 is a challenge, as they are pretty well tuned from the factory. Personally, I think I would do the suspension, make sure it has good rubber and all the bushes are fresh (apologies if I'm preaching to the converted and you've already done it!) and see how you get...

    Clio 197/Megane 225 conversion review

What spec is the Clio currently? There might be things you can do to add some excitement to it. I must say, while Meglios are quite cool, I think I would probably just buy a Megane. The money saved could be spent on some choice upgrades. By the time you're done, you're probably into R26 money...
