Coil pack/TB AFAIK, from what you describe it sounds like it is misfiring, hence the jitteryness and not wanting to progress through the revs.

I can't believe there are any left. I completed GT, GT2, GT3 and GT4 at least once each. GT2 was completed at least three times in my yoof. Even I can see it will be s**t.

That is a rotary polisher, if you are new to machine polishing I would advice you get a DA (Dual-Action/Orbital or something) Basically, a rotary spins like a sander would, which gives better correction, but also more risk of burning through your clearcoat and wrecking your paint. If you do this...
