you have to send them the V5 as theyr basically buying the car off you when the write it off. so theyl offer you settlement once the V5 has been received. i think its more to do with proving its your car and not a copy to try and defraud them

sounds like either : a) loose wheel nuts or b) wheel bearing needs replaced. seems about the right mileage for it
