    Vibration Through Clutch Pedal???

After a 100 mile motorway journey, I can now feel a vibration when I dip the clutch pedal to change gear. The only unusual part of my 100 mile journey was through some deepish standing water around an island, but I can't see this causing the vibration I can now feel. My 182 has covered 9000...

    Tyres

I had Yoko A539 tyres on my old 172, you get what you pay for, they are not good in the wet. Best tyres are still the PE2, in my opinion they are very hard to beat.

On a 300 mile round trip, my old 172 returned 48.5 mpg. I was driving like Miss Daisy to achieve this. My 182 however, can get nowhere near that figure.

    Write off help please guys!

A mate of mine had an accident, car got taken to a compound to be assessed. He wanted it written off, but it was looking like they were going to repair the vehicle. So he went and chucked a paving slab over the compound fence, which landed on the roof of his car. Hey presto, car was written off.

    Splitter Damage by 'Council'

You need to take pics of the road and pics of your damaged car, drop the images on a cd and write a letter stating all the facts. Find out where you need to send the info to, and take it there. In July my bumper was scratched by a Coventry City Council binman, luckily my car was parked under...

Oi You, Are You B----y Deaf Or Something ???

Preserving your hearing is a very serious matter indeed. As already stated, once damaged your hearing WILL NOT self repair. Having worked in a very noisy toolroom and having worked on the door in night clubs and bars for many years, my hearing is now quite seriously damaged. I also have...

    Alpine H/U Help.

The Alpine h/u is earthed at the bulkhead, there is a bolt earthing something there already. Power feed is taken directly from the battery. Now that I have swapped the h/u these two wires are bypassed. The only amp is the one in the h/u. Like you say Flatto, I'm going to have to try to...

    Alpine H/U Help.

I'm not into heavy bass music, I'm too old, as stated previously I don't have music blasting out of my stereo. My problem has arisen fairly recently. I have now swapped over the head units, if the problem persists, then I will conclude the speakers are duff. Thanks for everyone's input.

    Alpine H/U Help.

I have an Alpine CDA 9835R, it is wired taking a direct feed from the battery and also uses a separate earth. I am running Infinty 5.25" speakers front and rear. My problem is the sound volume keeps dropping, then rising back to the set level, is this an amp problem? I do not overdrive the...
