If you really want to tune a car then look down the route i did, toyota supra twin turbo, it was the car i looked seriously into getting before the 182, buying prices are about the same (taking into account the age of supra's), 320 bhp to start with and infinately tuneable after that, 430 bhp is...
My 182 has done the same mileage and mine has had to go back under warranty for a couple of things, first off the brakes went spongy on me the other day, the garage said it was most likely the fluid boiling due to overheating and creating air bubbles in the system, secondly the air con packed up...
probably a good thing i took the extended warranty....only had the car six weeks, last week air con packed up and now this brake problem, just have to hope problems will be covered by warranty......
strange though how it's done 35,000 miles in five years before i owned it and yet these problems...
could be air but the problem happened almost instantly, noticed it first after i drove over a few speed bumps (very slowly) then turned a corner, after that the pedal travelled further before braking.
Just came back from a drive and was nearing home when i noticed my brakes start to feel spongy!!
the brakes still worked but the pedal seemed to travel further before they worked, i know it's really hot out tonight and i was making them work hard but something feels wrong, when i got back in my...
I just got the halfords kit too because mine had stopped getting cold, the kit even came with a pressure valve on it, it told me my system had no pressure which i thought straight away was bad but i used the product anyway, i filled it to only half the recomended pressure, it worked wonders for...
I had this exact same problem and i found a solution so here it is
your air conditioning system works in such a way that bacteria can build up in the system and like all bacteria it won't go away unless you kill it,thats why you smell it most when you just get in, because the bacteria has built...
Funny too how no one answering her thought it at all hilarious......:banghead:
maybe this is the reason they make you point out parts of your engine as part of your driving test now.
you guys had a blast by the looks of things
note to self.........next west yorkshire meet, everyone must call at wickes on way and pick up a bag of sand :)
p.s
is it just me or can anyone else see that it says **** s*x c*ck written in the sand?
Nice turnout guys, looks like a good meet.......so much better than the dismal turnout of four cars at todays west yorkshire meet........Fail on an epic scale!
realized today that the aircon doesn't seem to be turning on in the engine bay or "clicking" on as some say, does this mean the relay has blown?.....if so does anyone know which relay it is please?......oh and i did the re-gas with the halfords kit but even when presurised it still didn't come...
Great pics mate, lovely car too....i would say that though wouldn't i :)
glad you got the problem sorted, my air con stopped getting cold yesterday so mine will be going back under warranty soon too :(
ok cheers, just bought some air con cleaner and a bottle of regass from halfords, just got back from a long drive and the aircon did seem to work a bit so might just need the gas....i hope
Hi mate, welcome to CS
I'm in the same boat as you with the same car, same age too, belts are due also, only had mine five week or so, my aircon stopped getting cold today which i'm a little miffed about......noticed you said you fixed your?, was it not getting cold by any chance?
Enjoy the...
there is a product for it, i did some valeting many years ago and it was just a liquid you pour onto a cloth, the tar comes straight off, no idea what it was called now though.......search ebay for tar remover, even if you don't use ebay it will tell you the name of it......unless it was just...
I know this has been covered so many times but i read most of the posts and didn't really find an answer so here goes......
last thursday air con got nice and cold when i was out for a drive......haven't driven it till today and there is no cold air coming through, i have removed the pollen...
might as well go for the 182 full fat and get all the goodies that come with it, then if you want to go faster just lose a bit of weight......i've been in a mate's trophy and to be honest the ride was harsh as hell!......i'll keep my luxury packed 182 thanks
