Will be better off painting it, will be dirty again after a few miles, there is too much dirty metal for it to look good IMO, good work at getting the shine though.
Seems like a waste of time to me though, no one ever sees the engine,
I knew it was the coolant temp, but didn't realise this it could take up to 15 minutes to move to 7250. I never boot it until I am out of town where I live which is about 7-8 minutes away, thought that would be enough . . .
Oh well, thanks a lot for the help guys,
As above, but they don't just hit a flat spot, it suddenly jerks and stops accelerating.
It doesn't do it everytime, probably 3% of the time I redline it, out of these rare ocassions it seems to be the first time I redline it since starting the engine, it isn't because the engine is cold, I am...
If he can afford to make a car look like that, why couldn't he insure a sport?
Do you have a fair bit of money to spend, coz if that is what you are aiming for you are gonna be spending serious dosh, that could be spent on a real car . . .
In the coming few months I am looking to do some modding, but as I don't know a great deal, looking for some advice.
Either I am gonna concentrate on power and engine mods (i.e. matched inlets, remap, exhaust manifold and decat/ exhaust manifold and sports cat - maybe cams when I'm feeling...
Don't put a bigger engine in it, just buy a 172, will be cheaper, then mod that,
If your not worried about speed, then by all means, do it. Rolling on 24's?
By hand is hard work, and to de-swirl the whole car, you will have to be pretty committed, Lol. But if you want an improvement, Meguiars Scratch X is good as previously mentioned,

Nerd warning though, Lol
Not nonsense, if you are driving at 30 where it is most likely for there to be a person in the road, it is pretty hard to lock the wheels from 30 and not stop in time,
I have driven lots of cars without ABS and have only locked up once when I was doing 60 on an A road to avoid a Horse, in a...
The other thousands of drivers of 172 cups seem to manage fine without ABS, why are you so worried about it. If you worry about having to do an emergency stop in a car, how do you get out of bed in the morning for fear of the satellites watching you?
If you aren't driving like a d*ck then you...
Yeah, TBH mate, I haven't seen a car in the world that doesn't have swirls on it unless it is freshly machined, everytime you wash it their gonna happen so, as long as they aren't bad IMO, just live with them, and have them corrected every now and then if they really bother you.
I'm probably...
Just buy the cheap halfords clay kit and chuck everything away but the clay. I would say unless you are a proper perfectionist you won't notice a difference if you are worried about the price.
