You can't just fit the 182 exhuast because the 172 has a spare wheel bay, the 182 doesn't have this. As haitch said, K-Tec do one that will fit the 172 and make it look like the 182.

Exactly right, it's easy to sit at top speeds, but there's no fun in that, it's the acceleration and cornering that makes all the fun :D
