Has anyone had any experience with Apex Suspension kits as they see pretty cheap, around £220. I know you get what you pay for with suspension but Im on a budget.
Failing that, any recommendations for a budget suspension kit would be most appreciated.

On the old speaker there will be a small + and - marking next to the connector symbolising the positive and negative. From this you should be able to work out the color for each.
If its anything like the older clios youll find that renault use different coloured wires all round so no two...
Surely this relies on a few constants such as air:fuel ratio, the exhaust valves being able to cope etc?
Also what effect would having a turbo make. As you would have a greater volume of oxygen to burn therefore potentially more power. Or am I just confusing the issue?
Rick
PaulN - Ive just looked at your install in the gallery. Just wondering if its a bit of a pain having a screen that sits on the dash rather than one that comes out of the Head Unit. Id be worried that it would be a bit vulnerable.
Rick
I would have thought that someone like Auto Tint Design would be able to sort you out. They advertise in most of the mags if your after contact details.

I know what you mean, Halfords are generally more expensive for speakers but the advantage is you dont have to wait for them to arrive. Definately wouldnt buy a head unit, sub or amp from there though as they are well over priced.
Having said that, I went to the Ripspeed/Halfords tent at the...
Bought a Stealth Shelf from Carnoisseur Southend yesterday for £60 which I thought was a bit of bargain. The bloke said hed get it send direct from the suppliers rather than getting them to send it to southend then up to Lincoln which is where I live.
I thought it would be sent by Auto...
Fair play to him for going pretty far with an RT but it is a FIVE door!
Cant say I like the side skirts or the front spoiler too much, they dont seem to work with the rest of the bodywork. (especially when you see the picture of the car from side on)
Rick
Got them from Halfords for £60. You can get them mail order for around £55, but when you add on the postage and packaging youre prbably paying the same amount.
The rear speakers on mine are 4inch but i dont think this is the same for the new shape. I think the new ones have 5.25 inch speakers...
Ever since I fitted some new Infinity 552s in the front of my car, the left one has always rattled when the bass got a bit heavy. I tried Dynamatting the inside of the door and this made a bit of a difference but the noise was still there. Well today I got really p*ssed off with it so I decided...
I was speaking to Nick at Hillpower today about a lowered suspension kit for my clio.
He asked me something about the distance between the suspension mounting on the hub and the bolt that attaches it!?! He said the distance would be either 52 or 54mm. Does this sound right?
Anyway is this...
I really like the batch of 7 spokes that are doing the rounds at the moment such as the BK Racing 238s and Wolfrace Urban Racer 7s.
Theyre starting to get very popular at the moment though, but theyd still look the bollox.
Rick
If you want it to be sound proofed your gonna have to use sealant on all the inside joins and make sure that all the joints are at 90 degrees to each other.
On the subject of what to use to cover door builds I think Halfords sell 1x2 metre rolls of Acoustic Carpet. Dont know how much they...
Youll definately want to get the back speakers done as well. Otherwise you end up moving the balance further and further towards the front speakers until the back ones are not doing anything.
Amped 6x9s are definately the best bet for the back but obviously these are gonna be expensive...
The rear speakers will probably be 4 inch ones, and most likely screw upwards into the side of the parcel shelf. To upgrade, you probably wont be able to just fit just any speakers as most are designed to be screwed down. Sony do some direct replacements but these are only 25W RMS. You best bet...
Ive got Infinity 552s in the front of my 93 Clio. They give a bit more bass than some of the others (which suits me fine) but are very good however if youre not in to dance music Id get some that are more aimed at sound quality.
Cant speak for the latest E-Motion speakers but I always felt...
My mates got a front spoiler off a Seat Ibiza on his car (not a clio however). Its a fair bit deeper than a standard clio one but makes the car look a lot lower than it actually is.
Rick
A Clio went past me today on 15s and it was pretty slammed (at least 50-60mm). It looked cool but the back end was bouncing around all over the place, if this is the same for all slammed clios then your probably better off just lowering it about 30mm.

If 16v brakes are as hard to find as 16v bonnets then I think Im in for a long wait.
Ill probably just uprate the pads and disks for now (Black Diamond disks/EBC Greenstuff pads) and keep my eyes open for a 16v setup.
I wonder if fitting a larger master cylinder would make any difference...
Ive got roughly £80 to spend on some new 6x9 speakers, anyone got any suggestions.
Ive been told that the new pioneer E-Motion speakers are pretty good.
Also does anyone know of any companies that sell Pro Plus Amps as Ive always been impressed by their stuff but nobody seems to advertise...
The brakes on my RT were poor to start with but now theyre just f*cked!
Has anyone fitted replacement pads and disks and if so what do you recommend.
Im getting some new wheels soon, probably 15s or 16s (havent decide yet - money and all that!) so if I need bigger calipers they might just...
I want to fit clear side repeaters and get rid of the black plastic plate that sits behind the standard ones. Does this come off with a bit of heat or is it a real pain in the arse. Also does it leave a lot of residue on the bodywork?
Cheers
