Bloke in work today told me about a place in bracknell called BTB (Bracknell Tyres & Batteries - I think)...
I got quoted £103, £102, £98 from variouse places, and went for the last guy who quoted me £70. Bloke in work phoned BTB and they told him £53.99!
Massive differencees in price for...
I like my 172 L&A car seats, and want to protect them from oil, chilkdren with sticky sweets, and general wear and tear.
If I stick ordinary car seat covers on them, then the side airbags wont work.
I read in the user manual (yes I RTFM) which said to ask my local renault dealer. They said...
Cheers Ben,
I got an e-ram a while ago........ Couldnt get this microswitch thing to work so to make the contacts I connected one wire to the metal gas pedal, and stuck a washer to the kick plate thing under the gas pedal and attached the other wire to it.
The FBW gas pedal has sort of a...
I see some peoples signatures mention NOS.
What kits have you got, and how are they activated?
Is there a problem with the 172 as it has an electronic accellerator?
Cheers.

Seen that a few times in other topics. Dont think it means anything.
Sounds like all your garages are huge, and kitted out like night clubs.
You wanna try serving Apple juice mixed with pure alcahol and another secret ingredient.
Barely enough space in my garage for a Metro. My clio is too wide (as in width, not wide-boy).
Most motor shops can do it for about £45 - £50 a wheel.
Search on the web, as there are lots of smaller businesses that do it for a lot cheaper, and will pickup & deliver to your home. They can also strtip your other wheels and apply coloured laquer as well.
I have heard that shaving foam has a similar effect, and it is easy to scribe a big c**k on their bonnet with.
If you can get hold of a shotgun shell, or even just a firework (rocket) , then poke it up the exhaust into the back box...wont have an immediate effect but when it gets to the right...
BUTRE....What planet are you on???
Has your 1.8 been chipped? Air filer is a good suggestion though (take it out and check there are no "rats" stuck in it). You may also be running rich because your advance/r****d may be faulty. I have not got a 1.8 so I am only guessing.
Got my cobra from Ebay for £50. Detects about 9 variations of radar, and laser.
Doesnt detect police cars in side roads or in police picnic areas just off of the hard shoulder on the motorway.
It works well on reflections from other cars, so I get plenty of warning.
The shock which blew the fuse may have also shorted your computer controller........rip the whole lot out and scream at it.
Is there any way in to the area where the controller is, to see if any of it is a burnt black or melted plastic colour? Probably needs replacing.
BMW 318s! Tossy little BMWs think they can beat a 172...Hah!
I often play "Chase the Beemer" when the fools try to cut me up. Anything below 2.5 litre doesnt stand a chance.
Dodgy fuel filter? If it was fine up until the other day, then it sounds like you might need a new fuel filter....or you have a bottleneck in your fuel piped somewhere.....just guessing as I know nothing about Valvers.
1 - Check your lighter fuse. Check your trip computer fuse (if there is one)
2 - Use a MultiMeter to check that:
A) The earth is OK by connecting one probe to metal on the chassis and the other to one of the lighter points (cheeck for voltage or beep)
B) The 12v cable is OK by connecting...
Your mates pile into what they think is a modded Clio 1.2
You frighten the crap out of them at 130mph on the motorway!
If you had a 172 sticker it would spoil the fun.
When I had a Mreg 1.4 RT and fitted something that required connection, it was the YELLOW one.
I think that the yellow one is also the thickest wire.
The other connection was EARTH which I connected to the bolt that holds the coil.
If you are looking for a minor supercharging effect from the opening on the fog light, then you might want to stick to 2 openings, just in case you get a bird or something stuck in it .
I thought about a similar thing based on the shape of a 2pint plastic milk bottle cut half way. Nice...
Do any of your mates have this problem on theirs when they are racing?
Is the gearbox oil linked to the motor oil? Or does it use slightly thinker oil? Is there enough in there? does it need draining and re-filling to get rid of fragments of 2nd gear?
If the car makes the rubbing sound when you are going fast round a bend, then it might be something to look at. Other wise it is probably just the wheel cambre so as when turning, the outside wheel is always pressed into the road.
Get your brakes checked (park on a shallow hill and slowly...
I have investigated this click. Since there is no mechanical link between the accellerator pedal, I think it acts as a sort fo clutch; so as when you go past the rotation of the electronics that the pedal is attached to, you dont break it.
