ive had this problem just changed plugs and coil pack, removed tdc sensor and gave it a clean, coil pack is £60, the tdc sensor has been renewed and is now £25 plus you need this bit of loom to wire it in which also costs £25 hence why i cleaned mine up first

sounds like you have been doing any maintenence try replacing plugs and leads and coils give her an oil change then find out where the other noises are coming from

they may also be running different oil in hotter countries i mean they dont get undersealed like over here plus car wouldnt start up tonight took 5 attempts for it to turn over so i think it needs plugs leads and coil pack mateys

ordered my cup spoiler yesterday from reg vardies in darlington and they got it in for me today went down and picked it up, woop cup spoiler for me and the brake light today all in perfect condition cant wait to have it fitted - last week of january!
