Had the pads out, and i am going to be changing the disks and pads too. I'M not driving the car.
There is plenty of material left on pads. however the rear has a small amount of damage but are safe to use. on both sides not massively bad. disks have life left in them but as a matter of course...
Track rod ends, and all suspension, can be done you're self within and hour or two at most. With help from someone here (where are you)
If you're worried about cost, use aftermarket parts. That will save a lot of money. If you need a hand, let me know and ill see if I can help. If you're not...
On my dci i have trw brakes, and pads? these any good? I'm not sure whether there OEM or after market.
Should i put trw pads and disks back on? or others?
sorry for starting a new thread
Fit bigger better calipers! and disks may take a bit of effort to fit, i.e drilling and retapping holes etc. easily done though. dunno how fast that lump is gunna be maybe 1*2 brakes will do the job :)
Nice one mate :), warranty job for me :). Disks and pads i won't ask for on warranty as its where and tear. Already done 2000 miles over the month i owned it.
They're is plenty of pad material left (not metal on metal) the, outside ones are in perfect condition actually, however the inside ones have plenty of material but have a couple of grooves in them.
theres not grit or durt on the disks or pads, so thats not the grinding noise!
The way i see it is, solid mounts don't take up any stress, so that stress is put through the car. You don't want that on the road. There made with rubber for a reason bud :)
Nahh its not metal on metal, as i just took them off...... its only intermittent, like does it when you first press then goes away.
The pads have PLENTY of life in them although they will be changed when disks are changed. Car isn't being used at the moment.
As title, i have a crunching sound when braking, like at slow speeds when i apply the brake lightly at slow speed. I can feel it through the brake pedal and its not very nice at all, i've have had the brakes of checked the pads and disks, and yes they're about ready to change, but there is still...

Hi all,
I've had my dci100 a month or so now and in the past week or so;
my automatic headlights have stopped working (try turning the function of and then back on)
my red rear lights (when headlights are on) have gone out. bulbs seems to be fine on both sides
and my dash back lights and...
I should imagine it aids you're power, because of gunky injectors etc. but i've used most my tank of fuel and not noticed any difference.
In my limited experience in diesel engines of nearly two years as an apprentice, It won't make any difference. Good for the health of you're expensive fuel...
going that low probably best to go for springs, my dci has 50 mm springs on it :) http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?643137-My-DCI-100-thread-(her-name-is-Carmel)/page2 thats the height, its low enough but really, I want it lower!
s**t update really, nether the less nice photo. This is how the car looks, hopefully getting some Renault Sport mats delivered on Friday :) Few more photos will be uploaded soon, from a little photograph session with a photographer mate of mine. :)
Money is tight and progress is slow at the...
