Should just I be looking for excessive play?
I think I'll switch the springs to standard as soon as I get a set sorted. Whats the best way of checking the shocks are in good order?
My girlfriends clio is a Mk2 Ph2 dynamique.
Last MOT it had a couple of shocks replaced and fitted with apex springs (40mm). It also has 25mm spacers on the front because It has MK3 wheels.
The handling feels awful really crashy and dangerous at times.
It has new toyo proxes and I had an...
Managed to get it off today. Here's what I did....
Removed K&N filter (where the airbox usually is).
Take off the heatshield and loosen the manifold bolts (you dont have to do this, but I found it allowed the maniifold to move a little later on to give more room)
Move anything else like rubber...
A guide would be most helpful. I've not removed one before, so usually I find a visual guide with pictures to work with before tackling it myself. I think I may have found the 3 bolts that you mean, but I can't be sure. I guess I'll just have a bash when I get a day to do it.
Possibly needing to replace my starter motor or get it refurbished. Are there any guides on how to do it? I'm hoping its pretty easy to bolt on and off.
1.6 MK2 PH2 Petrol Clio.
Are the starter motors for all the models the same?
Following on from another thread, I've been having some issues getting my clio to start up.
The battery is brand new today, and the car can be jump started rolling it in second gear. I tested the alternator by removing the battery once the car was running and it seemed fine.
The car unlocks...
Swapped the battery for a brand new one at no cost, cleaned the terminals and I have a strong connection.
Turn the key and nothing. The electrics all work, the stereo, lights etc. Its not clicking lots like a dead battery would. If i turn the ignition to the on position, the lights that stay...
Did this today, car kept running. Going to be sneaky and buy a new battery, then take back the old one because it still looks new. (lost the old receipt though).
Hopefully this sorts the problem, but I cant understand why a nearly new battery wouldnt hold a charge.
I've not had the clio on the road for a long time until this week. I got the car jumpstarted, but after an hours journey I went to turn the ignition and the battery was still dead. The battery's only a few months old, so I wouldn't think it to be that.
Does this point to the alternator being...
I've not had any camber bolts fitted. Think I'll check out tracking first from what people on here are saying.
Whats the best way of seeing if one of the shocks has gone if there are no obvious leaks?
My runabout clip had some apex springs fitted and a couple if shocks replaced a few months ago. Just had it on the motorway for the first time and it feels really skittish.
The car pulls to the left a little if I let go of the wheel, but if I hit a bump it jumps to the left abruptly and I have...
Someones totally badgered the wiring for the headunit in my clio 2 ph 2, so only one of the speakers is working.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram or a link to one so I can re-wire it back to the way it's supposed to be?
Thanks
Sam
Its ok! I made the educated guess that it was infact orange to blue, and dark purple to brown.
Double checked all the connections and the light and SERV lights have gone!!
I'm trying to find a picture/diagram of the wiring from under a passenger seat mk2ph2 to compare with mine.
Mine has been cut up and resoldered but I'm not sure if it's the right order or not.
(I have a blue and brown going to different colours for some reason)
Many Thanks
Sam
