    Maybe, I do have a varley redtop as well just never needed to use it, 4years on golf battery still going strong. Even jump started a friends Fiat coupe 20VT with it the other day!

    I used a golf trolley battery in my mx5 track car, never had an issue starting even in the winter and weighs about 5kgs and was about 30quid..

    Other than the yellow flag stuff don't really see the issue tbh, track temp of 1degree on direzzas would see most people heading backwards! I bought some brakes off the guy seems sound to me :)
