with the bonnet closed down, there isnt much space to allow air into the bulkhead. surely thats going to be worse, than having a big collector airbox, supplied with plenty of fresh air from the front. cant see the MOT guy would like the bulkhead being cut through, lol!

for cams produced from blanks ur looking at around 450quid for the cheapest set u can buy, which is from kent i beleive. these have a valve lift of around 11.2mm and a duration of 278degrees. this will mean vtec like action, once u reach the "on cam" zone. u mite find u loose some low end...
yeah, ive been investigating this, from what ive read, they jsut used the casings and main shaft or sumthing. its got bigger bearings to handle the increased torque capacity. ive got the specs of the 19 diesel and turbo diesel box, and the ratios r exaclty the same. seems as though the williams...
the 19 and clio box have exaclty the same ratios. they both pull the same in gear speeds, only the 19 has a 133mph top wack due to better aerodynamics i guess.
heres the ratios and in-gear speeds for the 16v box;
final drive 4.07:1
1st gear 3.09 = 5.2mph/1000rpm <A target=_blank href=...
wats the maximum amount i could skim the f7p head by to increase the compression ratio. is it possible to increase it to 11:1 jsut by head skim or wud high comp pistons be needed?
i no the need for 98ron fuel wud be needed, but i run that anyways.

theres a wrecked laguna v6 at my local breakers, and the master cylinder on that is a bit beefier than the 16v verison. the 16v pisotn size is 20.4mm, whereas the lag v6 piston size is 23.4mm. i assume this would provide a harder pedal and less movement of pedal to brake rite? wud this fit the...
is it me or does the f7r run machined pistons to lower the comrpression ratio? on the f7p the piston tops r flat, on the 2litre they r dished slighty

ok, earlier this week i fitted some 17inch chrome alloys to my valver. compared to my standard 15inch alloys, the weight difference wasnt that great. driving around town roads upto 50mph, there is no difference in perfromance, other than amazing cornering ability due to the increased offset- et...
yeah ive just put the andyspares valeo gt turbo uprated jobbie on mine. 58quid +vat. amazing piece of kit. hard work in traffic to begin with, but once ur moving, u can be as ruthless as u want with the clutch. takes all the abuse!

yes but its funny that all the hill powered cars on the rsc rolling road day at john nobles last month were all pinking. yet my car (which runs standard ecu) and only the clio cups wer running fine on the day, without any pinking or running lean.
then youve also got chris v over on rsc forum...
the 19 16v phase 1 hatch weighs 1060kgs. thats the quickest varient of the 19 16v. this has a power/weight;
137/1060 = 129bhp/ton
clio 16v weighs 980kgs
137/0.980 = 139bhp/ton
the later phase2s can be upto 100kgs heavier

well i saw the s3 badges on the back, and it had zenon head lights. so im pretty defiabte it was a genuine s3.
ive been in a tt 225 back last year. while quick thru the gears, it wasnt anything ballistic, jsut a nice push in the back. so id imagine the s3 being the same
