Speak to garage mate and ask them about the locking tools used on belt. If they don't know what you're talking about, you have a problem...:dapprove:
This is why I'm travelling 90mins to Northwest Performance for my belts next week. I have a very good local professional garage that I usually...
Nice motors the golfs mate. Done it for the right reasons as well, so fair play.
Wifey's got a MKIV 1.8t with a remap, 5dr that we use for days out and the like. Is really smooth and quiet even at motorway speeds.
Not been funny mate, but I'm sure if you went on a Megane forum, they'd say don't buy a clio...:S
Got to say for 4.5-5k I'd take Greeny 172's advice..;)
This is now starting to get on my nipples!!! Need to investigate tomorrow...
My car alarm (STD Renault as far as I'm aware), keeps randomly going off. Nothing I can think of other than battery in remote been on way out. Won't do it for a couple of days, then twice in 10 minutes......is my car...

Have a read mate and see what you think.
This is the set-up I think I'll be going for in a month or two after my belts service. Not chasing gains or figures just the least restrictive set-up. Chasing gains on these n/a engines is a waste...
Angel/halo lights Imo belong only on BMW mate. Likewise these strip type led lights belong only on Audi. Wouldn't go for them as personally of I see them on anything other than a BMW I just shake my head.....
On the other hand mate, your car, your money, do as you see fit...
Answered it yourself mate, I'd be following the original caf route, as used on phs1 and V6 airbox.
Wouldn't be wanting to spoil the look of my Clio with an exterior feed..
Followed you into Wakefield this morning mate. Seen your motor loads of times, as missus has a mate that lives on your street.
Always looks spotless, and very 'performance is my business!!';)

May have someone in the pipeline that can help, but following on from this thread, can anyone recommend me a custom exhaust fabricator in West Yorkshire that may be able to help.....
Cheers in advance, Kev....
I understand mate, as I've got a fair old mortgage and a 20 month little lad. I realise this will go against the grain with a lot of people, and I've never used them myself, but different people have suggested Nankang NS 2's to me. Just to throw something else in the mix!!!
I've just swapped...
Would look at changing your garage mate!!
I've took both our cars to same garage for last couple of years. He charges nothing for diagnostics. Says he's got to do it, so is part of the repair(no extra charge) The garage is a one off though I think. You can just pop in and ask him for advice...
If you've used before mate and obvioulsy been impressed with performance and wear, then go for the Toyo's.
Everyone will have their own fews and input, but it's easy with forums and web imo to do a little too much research....;)
Just had a look on this site mate. No 195's but can only get 205's.
http://www.tyretraders.com/tyresearchresults.aspx?width=205&ratio=45&rim=16&man=All&flat=False&filter=Price&ftype=Ascending&pricing=1&cat=All&speed=All&Loading=All
(top of 2nd page)
If all these suppliers only do 205's I...
Looks a lot smarter mate:cool:
Something that suprises me about most Renaultsport clio seats (well in phs1 and 2 172's I've owned), is how un-supportive the std seats are. Missus has factory fitted Recaro's in her golf which are so much 'huggier'!!!
