Hi,
I have sportline Eibach springs and I do the occasional track days wth which I have found that the sportlines springs just about cope with.
I know that Koni dampers cost about £400 so bit cheaper than coilovers.
Will the koni dampers improve handling much? And also will the dampers...
Ok Mark you've given us figure's but how does all this weight loss feel on the road/track. Do you believe its worth it for the gains you get?
I take it the cup is not used daily?
Can't believe the neg comments on here?... Alan wtf?
Its a track day car, with faulty air con so of course he's going to remove it.
Im sure alot of people are interested on here on this sort of technical detail as am I.
10kg weight loss but also now the engine doen'st have to drive the...
Can someone give me a guide to changing fluid on a clio sport using the Halfords 'one man kit'. I believe there is no guide in the guide section for this. I intend to make one when I do mine.
I have changed the pads and disc's but have no idea how to do the fluid.
I also want to up rate the...
I didn't say the standard disc's are the best setup, I mean't to say that the standard disc's are fine and anything bigger is over kill. I think most people dont do more than 10 laps without out a full track day setup.
I think the orginal poster will use his setup for fast road and maybe...
I'm running my ph1 on sportlines and the front dropped 15mm and rear 10mm, so not much of a drop at all. The sportlines are suppose to lower more so I guess prolines would not lower at all.
Prolines are suppose to have better handling but not drop much and sportlines are stiffer and bigger...
Why do you need bigger brakes? total waste of money unless your doing serious track days. Even Cup racers use standard discs.
For fast road use: Brembo HC disc's, with good fluid and Green sfuff pads (work well when cold)
For track: brembo max grooved, stainless braided lines and pagid blue...
Thanks for the link.
Are the bearings in the rear discs the actual wheel bearings or are the bearings just for the disc?
Think my rear wheel bearings are on their way out, so if I get new disc's and bearings, is this the same as replacing the wheel bearings?
I'm in need of new disc and pads on the rears.
Im just looking to replace them with standard renault parts or equivalent.
I'd like to buy the full assembly including disc's, ABS ring and bearings already pressed in.
Apart from the normal ktec and YOZ, can anyone else recomend somewhere...
As above, you need to properly prepare the caliper before you fit. Clean all the dirt away with break cleaner.
Make sure you dab a bit of copper grease on all contact areas of the pad including the back and corners of the pad, I bet that will solve it.
While pads are out, just check the...
I dont know why but the cup looked stunning in that review, the MCW looked average.
If the mini wasn;t more expensive i'd prob go for the mini (remap FTW)
James i'd like to know what qualifies you to be such an expert on tyres? you sound like you know what your talking about, but how do you know so much?
I just want to know as you get a lot of 'experts' on here.
I didn't think it was elctroncialy controlled, i thought it worked on oil prssure. `So when oil pressure reaches a certain amount valves open etc. correct me if im wrong.
Bet the steering wheel is not mint. Hate it when people call cars mint and there just not!
A mint car is a car that it spotless and nothing wrong with it.
I have had a sprint against a VXR twice and every time I passed them with not too much trouble, believe me the RS clio's are quicker.
Both times the VXR started the 'sprint'.
Could be different against a re-mapped one?
I use to live in Chorley and I drive through every couple of weeks. Seen a clio sports around.
I'll keep a look aout for you.
Your not one of those people that park up outside McD's are you? Cough CHAV... Cough.
Personaly I think the 172 PH1 is quite raw anyway, its certainly not as refined as the ph2, dont know if thats because there older??
You'll love a ph1 plus you will enjoy that little bit of extra power.
