hmm.. If you want the wider track, get yourself a set of Ren 19 wishbones and driveshafts (same part as willy) and whack them on - job done.. I would still steer very clear of spacers..
Think therea a lot of debate on this one..
Some 172 drivers advise 1000 miles before you redline it, though I think others have ragged it sraight from new, with no ill effects.
Me - Id take it easy for at least 500.
If youre box is popping out of gear, Im afraid it doesnt look good.. Probably a selector problem.. So yes - Gearbox is probably on its way out mate...
How many miles has it done?
I know of a very reputable garage in Leeds mate, Renault specialists.
The guys son owns a willy, and theyve done top work on my 19 up to now.
PM me if you want details.
Righty,
Fitted my old HU to my new car yesterday, all pluged in fine, and was working with no probs..
However, after the stereo had been playing for about 10 minutes, the amp cut out. i.e. The head unit is still playing, but no output is reaching the speakers.. Turn the HU off, and turn it...
On my 19, the window will go 3/4 of the way up, then just makes a griniding noise, and the motor wont go any further. Its not the runners, as its easy to grab the window and push it the rest of the way. So Im thinking its got to be the regulator/motor. I have a spare one, how hard are they to...
Yes there are Rossa.. I have on eon my 19 that they fitted to early Phase 1 engines, basically, its a sandwich cooler (like the one in this photo between the filter and block:

But just plumbs into the normal cooling system, theres plenty of them kicking...
Hi guys (and gals),
Hoping you can answer a q. for me.
My mate wants to buy her fella a driving day, hes never raced on a track, and it needs to be fairly near the north of england (I was thinking Rockingham maybe?)..
Im hoping someone can recommend a company/website to do it with, as Ive...
Problem is, the Willy engine weighs a LOT more than the GTT lump, so Id have thought its not going to do great things for the handling and balance of the 5.. Could be wrong though?
Could well be your headgasket, if youre losing water.
is there a creamy mayonnaise residue in the filler cap?
Also - have you checked your oil levels? As low oil levels will affect oil pressure.
Yup.
Had spacers on my 19 when I got it.. Its dody fitting universal spacers, as the wheels are no longer mating with the hub, its the bolts that are taking all the load. V V dodge. Would take them off if I were you Rhys. Or at least get wheel/hub specific spacers.
