Ive been wondering this too... seems tricky with it being block connectors for the door wiring. i was thinking of either tracing the original speaker cable back to inside the car and running the amp to there, or maybe using a fine drill and trying to run it through the block and on.. not tried...
as for your rattles in the dash, my clock surround rattles cos some idiot once tried to remove it and its supposed to be permently fixed to the dash (just use superglue!!! ) and my steering column shroud rattles too cos it was fixed properly, i just tightened the screws!!

do these go under the plastic parcel shelf supports? u could attatch it through them, either screw straight in or use small right angled metal supports (u can get them cheap at b+q). dunno how to fix at bottom, maybe a bit of wood across the boot? wud leave a lump tho...
u cud always just drill...
any dealer should be able to sort you out, tho they might charge u (vauxhall wanted 15 qiud off a m8!!! ). i had to take mine back, nothing seemed to work. might be worth just pickin up an aftermarket unit cheap. :(
i've got a similar problem on my SI. sadly i have no idea what causes it. ive just had a service and they said the discs and pads r fine. maybe the ABS is failing in someway...
anyway, if u find out, let me know!!
