6x9's sound ok if you have nothing else and your not planning on goin mad. get a stealth shelf, a good one, and they'll sound better, and no-one will smash your windows for them.
if your goin all the way with amps, sound deadening and all the good stuff, read into it all before spending loads...
aye, the membership has paid for itself so many times helping me to fix the damn thing lol!! try adrian flux, they do standard cars too u know, and all my mates are with them now, always the cheapest. welcome! :D
no, it came with a blanking plug. from what i've read and understand the first sensor in the manifold is the important one, the second compensates and alters fuelling if it receives an unusual reading, which it will without a cat, and it's better to receive no signal than a dodgy one! it'll just...
quick google says a civic is 4x100, et 35/38 and centre bore 56, so the centre is smaller. i'm assuming they'll have spigot rings being non specific so you just need a set for your clio, but the offset isn't necessarily right. pcd is though :)
ok, it's been ages since i've done anything to my neglected car, i've spent all my student loan now lol, and i've not even cleaned it. a few weeks ago i found time to fit my decat, which turned into a total nightmare. one stud sheared and a nut rounded, meaning i ended up having to angle grind...
yea, just dull the badge, using essentially a kitchen scouring pad, if your going black just give it a few thin coats of matt or gloss, leave for however long the can says, then a few coats of lacquer. if you get dust in it and it really bothers you, maybe flat with 1500 VERY gently, its a tiny...
getting the tracking and camber done may help, and will certainly improve the handling, but i'd ditch your liners for sure. mine rubbed at 60mm so i imagine yours is worse! jack it up, take the wheel off, and it's just a few torx screws i believe. i hacked off the bits that cover the engine on...
apex seem to have a generally good rep on here, tho not as good as the eibach stuff. i'd say deffo go for it over something cheap like g-max or pi, if you don't have the money to do it right, just don't do it. you'll only regret it!
hey mate, had mine at 60mm on standard dynamique 15's and 17's, it rubs on full lock on the 15's and scraped a few big speed bumps, plus you'll never mount a kerb again. on the 17's it didn't make full lock, plus with 5 ppl it scrapes whatever lol, and i broke my cat on a speed bump :( that's...
i remember reading a guide showing that you shud measure from the tyre at the top to the edge of the arch and buy a corresponding spacer. iirc it's an MOT fail to have wheels sticking out of the arch. i need 25mm ones but only to fill my 172 arches.
it's very easy to do tbh, tho i'm lucky enough to have mates in the right places to get access to the proper tools. it shouldn't remotely flake off, the only hard bit is getting a nice smooth lacquer finish with no runs. i've done my spoiler, door handles, strips, and a 172 kit this summer, plus...
i've sprayed my interior before, the key is prep work, it really doesn't take paint well, consider smoothing it and using a high build primer to paint onto and lacquer for a good finish. rattle can straight onto the textured trim will peel, fo' sho! looks good if done right. colour is up 2 u! :)
cheers m8! yea, that was bad times lol! it's nice i could rescue my first car and do what i wanted in the end, i just can't wait for the next student loan instalment! hopefully if i sell the focus soon i can track down the 172 engine. i know ppl often say it's not worth it, but i can do it...
there only a straight swap on late ph1, think 2000 on, but that is square holes iirc. ebay is over priced for these, check on here or get down the scrappy! :)
lol, i need it to keep my shirts smart! no, really, i love the spoiler. i know it's not every1's cuppa, but i want it to be different. at least a bit anyways!
finally today the skirts have gone on! and they look ace ! still got tiger seal all over my hands tho as the cheap skirts had no clips lol! but still, sooo pleased now! :D
parked up at about 1.30 ish, gorgeous black 182 i think is occasionally there, looks dropped, maybe on sportlines? anthracite wheels. real beauty!
also round the corner where it's free to park and always rammed lol there was a black ph1 i often see with plenty of potential, don't often see em in...
they're standard ph1 doors, came with electric windows. i've just fitted colour coded ph2 strips and coded the handles.if you mean the interior, they're standard ph1 172 doors, the switch set up is the same just in a different surround.
thank u! i'm really pleased with it at the mo, tho i'm running out of loan already! i'm just gonna colour code the rear and pc it now, tho thinkin of fitting an alpine x100 to go with my new pod. hopefully i can get some justmatz, pedals and wheels in the run up 2 xmas, want it shiney for next...
finally got some more progress piccies! been real busy, back to uni, still trying to get motivated to finish the focus too.
but fitted the sportlines, only pic is this, sadly back on the original 14's as my tyres are shot so i'm gonna finish the refurb b4 getting them back on. it handles like a...
i'm no expert, but i've read buying guides saying a whistling on dipping the clutch is the release bearing starting to wave goodbye. prob a lot cheaper than ur belts tho! if it was the belts it wouldn't only happen when the clutch was used.
i know the key won't fit, it's more as the immobiliser is part of the ECU i thought if i had the key for the new part the blip would mean i wouldn't need it coded, and my blade will fit the ignition barrel. i ment more will the fueling and everything be the same? my garage think my ecu is...
mine used to that cos the plastic clip on the peg that goes through the bottom of the window (part of the winder mech) wasn't on and let the window move a bit. take the door off, reconnect the switch, wind it down and look for movement, listen for the source.
lol, tell me about it! when was the last meet in sheffield? there seems to be plenty of us, but there's no regular meet! i think we shud organise something? :)
went to see dragonforce last night at the met, parked in town and there were two blue 182's, anthracite wheels, the lot in the same car park, then drivin through the centre saw another in front with 2 white go faster stripes!
