To keep it in warranty without any problems later, just let them refill with the standard Elf oil, it's perfectly ok.

I put 6.5" Hertz ones (on MDF spacers) upfront, and although disappointing initially they've loosened up lately & are punchier. I'd like to put a mid-bass in the rear positions now.

They sell the proper Elf stuff on ebay, even with P&P it's cheaper than going to Renault direct.

Standard/pattern have just 1 hanger. A couple of 'performance' aftermarket ones have two hangers - the 2nd connects to a mounting point in the middle of the car IIRC. Pattern rear backboxes for these are, IME, rubbish. The proper Renault one is much better made.

Exactly - the airbox seals up the intake at that point, so water isn't sucked in. There were a couple of '6s that killed engines by having a K&N 57i mounted low and ingesting water...

It's not that odd the phone not having LTE, as it's hardly available anywhere yet (and is chuffing expensive too) & adding it would have pushed the price up - I think it's a shrewd move - it's pretty much the only thing lacking.

You don't need more than one sub, just buy a good one & a good amp. Don't skimp too much on speaker cable either.

You don't need the bumper off, but it can be a ballache getting in there to get it off if bolts, etc have rusted. Factor in a new aux. belt as well while you're at it.

Did the engine even turn over? If yes then the immobiliser's probably kicked in. If the battery voltage is down, the alarm might well kick in anyway.

If you can get under the car to look, the new welds should be fairly obvious. FWIW, my pattern zorst backbox was always a bit noisy, not that much quieter than the rude-boy Powerflow one it replaced.

There was no way the tweeters would've unclipped on mine without being able to yank them out when the dash was off - they were on too tightly.

They should have left the plastic bottle intact to collect the exhaust gasses, then you could've driven with zero emissions!
