Say you had £15k to spend on a track car project, what car would you choose and what mods would you make?
Think I would spend it on:
4-4.5k on a high mileage but sound 172 cup
5k on throttle bodies
1.5k on LEDA sus
1k for some decent bucket seats and harnesses
1k on a full roll cage
400 on...
does look so much better, the gap between the tyre and arch on the rear annoys me, needs closing up. Plus the roll in corners is shoite, who said 172s had good handling? lol
you're an apprentice. don't make me sack you.
plus, I've been in the hangars a lot of the last 12 months, shopfloor do f**k all apart from drink brews and occasionally walk around the aircraft pretending to look busy.
nice one mate. will look good. Just get some 40mm lowering springs. Shouldn't make a great deal of diff to your insurance!!!
EIS bonus should come through next month and 4% rise backpay will be in april. Wahoo, lets get crunked. brap
Nick, I'm at work mate lol.
tut, people round preston can't drive to be honest. I hate strand road at peak time, sometimes take about half an hour to move about a mile.
cheers mate, got any more plans for yours?
Think I'm just going to get some coilovers. Depending if we get this feckin bonus or not!
Similar view to mine after a test drive mate, nice cars and well put together. The power delivery is very linear as well I thought. brakes are miles better too.
Not sure I'd be happy chopping the 172 in plus about 8k for one though
