    funny you should say bigredd seals, saw them do the same after a couple of track days. they were fitted by someone as i talked them through doing it so it was down to the quality of them. for how far out it is i'd pump it a bit more until it's almost out, then swap them over and the piston...

    think that's only about an inch out from where it normally is, as long as it's on the original pivot point there is loads of room for it.

    get an upper bracket and then a turnbuckle for an adjuster.

    end of the cv where it sits against the bearing had a step on it of about 15mm or so. don't know for certain what it was meant for though?

    make sure it's got the correct outer cv on it, seen two now that have had possibly a megane cv on them? does fit but abs ring is miles away from where it should be.

    Be wary of used boxes, seen few now that when fitted aren't as good as the seller claimed them to be. Heavy clutch is just from mileage/age. You could change the cable but highly unlikely it will make any difference.

    check piston dimensions and take it from there, plenty of high comp pistons listed across the range and i'd be surprised if you didn't find something that wouldn't be a straight fit. iapel do a good range and cover some of the older stuff and smaller engines so they would be my first start. if...

    afik the stock piston is a flat top but knowing how lazy renault are something else will fit it, i've not noticed anyone listing high comp pistons for them but am sure you will be able to get forged rods from aliexpress easy enough. i take it you can't run boost to stay in the same class?

    did you lock the pulleys? i take it the horseshoe goes in but you have to put a bit of pressure on it to get it to line up and fit in the slots?

    had issues with the loom on both circuits, didn't check the actual problem as the car had a few issues so it worked out cheaper to just swap for a known good loom. still got the faulty loom and will probably open it up one day.

    torque is s**t!!!!!!!!! get it read with something decent, need to check other stuff for codes, don't be surprised if you have short on ac pressure sensor circuit.

    you can use either the 225 or the 250 headgasket, think the 250 is about 0.5mm thicker than the 225?

    would be a pain in the arse to solder it and you've then got a weak point in the wiring.
