I'd be embarrised to have feel like I had to explain I had a 2.0l clio.
I just say clio, I have nothing to prove.
If they ask what it is I just say I can't remember.
I was due to be at work very early this morning and it would have involved me driving out to the A2 and then the M25, would have been a straight flat run but...
I never got the call and instead went towards Central London and over a few speed bumps. I heard something that wasn't right, a...
There is no law that says you have to have a cat.
But if you fail emmissions, they won't be happy.
If they find out you have the decat and have as such made the emmissions bad yourself they will not smile upon you.
If you had a vent on the right and then had a sealed box which was tight on the bonnet you'd be in business, until it rained... (you'd need to work a drainage plan for it, as the engines hate the water)
The movement in mine helped to loosen the gearbox mounts and did a fair bit of damage but they may well have been a fitting problem.
Personally I would get them changed and modify them so there is no movement, the car will feel so much nicer to drive.
You need to see the Toyos R888's to believe how good they are...
A local guy has them on his Evo and he get's full tracton on roundabouts from second to third flat out...
WD40 isn't a graese, it's a water disperser...
However the comment was a joke.
If someone doesn't know how to adjust their handbreak I would seriously suggest that they don't try because if they aren't competant enough to do that, there is no hope for them!
Hey, I have placed some off cuts of rubber exhaust mounts that I cut to fit in there and the car is perfect this afternoon!
It has a tendancy to try and wiggle them out but I have a plan involving greasing the metalside so it can move and sticking it to the mount side, if that makes sense. For...
Had some gearbox problems, the monkeys you had fix it didn't screw it in properly and and it caused me some serious problems. The damn thing newar fell out and damaged all the mounts. When I spoke to them they were not very helpful. I had to have the mounting points fabricated until I can source...
There are four:
The top one on the right.
The Dogbone at the bottom.
The Gearbox one under the battery.
The lower Gearbox, subframe mount, under the gearbox.
You need to change them all. I did it, fixed it for about 50 miles!
I'm now looking at a few other things as well.
I have an idea that when they go, that the exhaust gets bent and then continues to knock on the subframe. I'm going to have the exhaust refitted tomorrow and bent away from the...
Just had mine done but I would be interested in new ones if they were the right price.
Mike@Rentech may still have all my old mounts as he was looking at doing the same in the future but was going to wait until he had the cash to do it.
Give him a shout.
