Thats exactly what i thought, i had actually bought the car as when i drove it initially it was fine, very smooth........ guy was a bit of an arse really......... got a refund- fossie

Went to look at a Ph1 172 today. Reversed it out of the garage put it into neutral and then tried first gear, nothing. Would not go into any gear. Guy came over managed to sort it and so i drove it to the petrol station. Same thing happened and wouldnt go into gear again... The geezer said...- fossie
