Sounds stupid but is this the style megane that has the key card???? Reason i ask is that my missus' car had the same issue and it ended up being the batteries in the card needed changing........... might not work but this was out issue and had the same issues apart from cutting out

Surely they must be held in position with clips, have you tried applying a bit of pressure to see if the buttons with push back in place (if thats what you mean) Failing let us know what part of the display is loose and ill pop outside and have a look at mine!!!!
